Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka will be assessed after he missed the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea through illness.

Calum Chambers looks set for a spell on the sidelines after hobbling off with a knee injury during the 2-1 defeat, joining Rob Holding (knee), Kieran Tierney (shoulder), Sead Kolasinac (ankle) and Sokratis Papastathopoulos (head) in missing out.

Dani Ceballos is back in full training, however, while Gabriel Martinelli and Hector Bellerin could return.

Granit Xhaka will be assessed ahead of the game at the Emirates

Paul Pogba is expected to return to the Manchester United squad after missing the win against Burnley on Saturday. Diogo Dalot is also in contention with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw expected to return after being rested at the weekend.

However, Axel Tuanzebe, Marcos Rojo and Scott McTominay will be absent with Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah also long-term omissions - although the former has now returned to training.

Pogba is not with the squad for this match. They might have forced him to stay last summer, but judging from his agent's comments this past few days i don't think he will be at old Trafford much longer.

Does emergency not equate to immediate in the first place?

That's how one young man lost his life on the 25th due to internal bleeding from RTA, because of shortages of both equipment and personnel in the ER.

A chelsea (especially this season) should not make jokes about “losing at home”. or should I start listing?

Nothing is fixed in football. No team can stay in-form all the time. What counts is what a team has been able to accumulate during its days of plenty. Which is an advantage the great clubs enjoy. ( same cannot be said for mediocre entities like chelsea).

We have all been in form at different times.

But. The great teams have definitely had more in-form periods than the mediocre teams over the years.

Where it gets worse for the mediocre teams is when the great teams keep beating the mediocre teams even till this present day. Especially those mediocre teams that haven’t reached the level of leeds or aston villa or even nott forest.
