I perfectly understand your POV.

You should understand this is a factory.
The good to be purchased must be paid for before it exits the company.

Most people who stay around Ibadan, Berger, Shagamu and do come to the factory to verify, pay and take their product home.

For those who stay far away, they send us money and we find a reliable driver heading towards that direction to deliver the mattress to the customer.

And yes, videos of the exact product the customer requests for; length, breadth and width will be done for verification purposes.

odimbannamdi:
While I also do not support Pay on Delivery for that kind of item (because of the risk of the buyer not showing up and how difficult it may be to send it back), I think Escrow is a very viable option and could help increase your sales here.

Just in case you are not aware, Escrow basically entails the buyer sending and locking the money (plus delivery fee, of course) to a reputable member of Nairaland who has been escrowing deals here for years.

So, it is as good as the customer already paying you for the goods. But to ensure that the deal pulls through, you need to share videos of what will be sent to the customer, pointing out the length, width, breadth, model number, etc, and ensure you send exactly that to the customer, because the Escrow reserves the right to void the transaction if you send something else.

I believe you will lose sales if you insist on Pay before delivery. Even Jumia and Konga does Pay on delivery. Reason am

Shagamu area, around Trailer pack/Con Oil filling station

odimbannamdi:
Where is the factory located?

Technology Market › Re: House Clearance Sales.. Come In Here!!!! by XshegzzyeeiX(m): 12:52pm On Jan 04

Alright, understood.

I cant use escrow still.
Coz no mattress can leave the factory without been paid for.

Either the buyer comes in person, sends a trusted individual or send the seller the money.

Either way, he will get the product he pays for.

sunnymighty:
No one has accused you of scamming anybody. We have witnessed a lot of fraudulent activities here on this thread. Saying you are not making use of escrow except "pay before service" to me is somehow. Somebody sold mattresses here in the past (can't recall the monicker) and we all know how it ended. No be everybody get time to come your factory come buy mattress. Date of registration no longer determines.

I won't do escrow.
Never.

Coz payment must be made before the mattress leaves the factory.
Many people do come to the factory to verify what they are paying for.

He can do same.

Iamsane:
Don't take him for this words. Opt for escrow.
