APOPTOSIS: All they do is Complain, Complain & Complain. Take same woman to Jamaica and watch her start complaining again. MADAM, u can't have it all in Life. Even the DeviL was chased out of heaven. U are very much lucky that u still look good and admirable for your age and all that is required of you is to work and payback.
Many countries don't have such Luxuries and I bet you Jamaica is one. Such First world countries are designed that way. In order to prosper well in such countries u need a formidable life partner which I can guess u lack. For such people, their struggles remain high ceiling.
Again, must you buy a HOUSE, must you? Ain't there people living in rented homes abroad. I live abroad too but how come I don't take such baseless risks or do such baseless videos. No one dragged u into this. You chose such. Must you drive a brand new car? I have cars abroad but I have never spent more than my monthly income to purchase a car. Car is never an asset. It starts depreciating right from the day you buy it. U Guys from third world chase luxury too fast. U must understand the system you're in.
How can you take a loan to buy a house and car....? Who does such? The only positive debt I know abroad is student loan and such must be taken for prestigious courses which u are sure of and not courses like Political science, Library & Social sciences, Religious studies and many more. Wake up! daddy show me love |
Romance › Re: She Chose Her Hotel Job Over Her Relationship by yaseer111: 2:23pm On May 14 |
Toolegit123: Good afternoon Nairalanders.
A friend of mine came to seek advise from me yesterday and I only gave him the little I knew I could give.
There's the girl he has been dating for over a year now and things had really gotten serious between the both of them. So, taking the next step which is about going to see her people has been on his mind for some time now.
Now, here's the problem. This particular lady in question is presently working in a hotel and she has been holding a very big position in the hotel. Just like how we are made to believe, concerning ladies working in hotels. Of course, we've heard of various cases of how ladies working in hotels turn out to be promiscuous and render their bodies for men who comes to lodge in those hotels which they're working in. This friend of mine is worried, and has asked his lady times without a number if she would quit the hotel work after getting married to pursue another career. He has even promised to open a super market for her but she didn't obliged to his request.
As a matter of fact,my friend is currently considering walking out of the relationship but I told him to speak with her one more time. And if she should insist on quitting the hotel work, then,he could do whatever he has on his mind.
So,my dear fellow Nairalanders, especially the guys ,how do you guys view this kind of situation? open a supermarket for her ? |

1. Make more money. Money is almost everything. I am a family man and I can tell you, the importance of money in a family can never be over emphasized.
2. By-pass! Yes. You need to get a good technician to help you achieve that. I by-pass Ed too. You must device a means to survive in this country if you really want to stay healthy and sane. You can do most of your cooking at night when the power company guys have all resigned for the day.
3. Make sure to use the gas only when absolutely necessary. Times like when you need to cook and there's power outage or when what you want to cook is best prepared on a gas cooker.
4. Money is absolute. My brother, running a home takes the Grace and Mercy of God. Just make more money. When I see someone complain about the economy, in all honesty and humility, I just tell them the solution to it is just to make more money or even way more money. While at it, please do not do anything ungodly or illegal. Cheers Bro. |

eejo: Explain Why many Nigerians are going to lose their money. Business, Houses and lives which will escalate into the worst Humanitarian crisis in the History of mankind over the next 25 years. Many Nigerians face severe economic hardship, risking money, businesses, homes, and lives due to a combination of protracted insecurity (banditry, insurgency), high inflation, Naira devaluation, reduced humanitarian aid, and governance issues, leading to increased poverty, displacement, and food insecurity, potentially escalating into a severe humanitarian crisis if not addressed urgently by stabilizing the economy and resolving insecurity. Key Factors Driving the Crisis: Economic Instability: Inflation & Devaluation: Fuel subsidy removal and Naira devaluation have dramatically increased costs for food, transport, and energy, while wages haven't kept pace, forcing spending cuts and hardship. Household Strain: Families are struggling to afford basics, with significant reductions in household spending. Business Challenges: Unstable exchange rates, high operating costs (like generators), and macroeconomic instability hinder productivity and growth. Insecurity & Displacement: Conflict Zones: Insurgency (Boko Haram) and banditry in northern states (Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Katsina, etc.) disrupt farming, displace populations, and create urban poverty as people flee rural areas. Humanitarian Impact: This insecurity exacerbates food insecurity, pushing millions to the brink of hunger. Humanitarian Aid Cuts: Reduced Support: Major international partners (US, UK, Netherlands, Germany) have significantly cut funding for humanitarian efforts in Nigeria. Increased Vulnerability: These cuts are worsening an already dire hunger emergency, leaving millions without essential food assistance. Governance & Systemic Issues: Corruption: Mismanagement of funds, including security spending, without tangible results, adds to the crisis. Lack of Stability: Insecurity and economic shocks make markets volatile, preventing recovery and increasing vulnerability. The Risk of a Major Humanitarian Crisis: Widespread Hunger: Projections show tens of millions at risk of severe food insecurity, a significant increase from previous years. Escalating Poverty: Rising costs and insecurity are pushing more people into poverty, particularly in urban centers. Systemic Collapse: The combination of economic collapse, insecurity, and reduced aid creates a "complex emergency," threatening basic needs like food, shelter, and healthcare for a large portion of the population. In essence, a perfect storm of economic mismanagement, persistent conflict, and withdrawn international support is eroding livelihoods, threatening businesses, and putting millions of lives at severe risk |

aerolagos: Hello everyone,
We want to formally inform the community that we are permanently stopping the weekly giveaway on Nairaland.
We originally chose Nairaland to build in public, share progress, and engage in meaningful conversations around what we are building. The giveaway was never the core objective, it was only a secondary effort to support engagement, not the foundation of our presence here.
Due to the direction things have taken, we’ve decided that: • All giveaways will no longer happen on Nairaland, permanently. • We will continue giveaways on other platforms such as Instagram and X, where participation is tied to real, identifiable accounts rather than faceless profiles. • A clear structure for how rewards will be earned and distributed will be announced on those platforms. • We are also handing over all PR and community engagement to a dedicated team, allowing us to focus fully on building and execution.
We appreciate those who contributed constructively and followed the journey for the right reasons. Updates may still be shared here from time to time, but giveaways on Nairaland have ended permanently.
Thank you for the understanding. how can we participate in the new platform? |

matify83: Hello Nlanders
I was doing a little research on QWEN3, a Chinese open source AI app when I noticed that the answers I was getting were strangely dated to 2024 while the event I was referencing is a current issue of global significance.
I have had similar issues with Deepseek on other topics warranting me deleting the app from my phone.
Curiously, I asked Qwen3, if it was up to date in 2025 and the answer I got baffled me.
I had to ask the same question to all my currently installed AI apps and justice has been done to those not updated in time.
Always be wary of results from Chinese ai apps, the are highly fraught with obsolete information.
Little wonder grok and chatgpt ask for updates nearly every day. I sent u a dm sir right now |
