Lol what is so bad in using an escrow wo happy sales can’t part with 25k in this economy
Locate any physical market and buy the items you wanted to buy from since TRUST is not your thing.

Online purchase is not compulsory for everyone 🤝

You think he will stop selling immediately you sent him 25k 😏🤔

Well, let everyone’s opinion lead him/her. Peace ✌️

You do know there are "Online businesses" right? People use their houses to run their online businesses and use dispatch to deliver to customers. You can always buy from other people that own physical shops or stores though.
He will understand later. Maybe he doesn’t have people doing full time online sales. Few of my close friends here in Lagos has many items in their house. My former compound, cartons of goods full under our front and back staircase 😎

My friend turn his parlor to store room. Keeping items worth multi millions. Some keep in their rooms.

You can’t rent all these expensive house in Lagos and not making use of your free space for something useful.

You advertise on facebook and other platforms and make sales. House is not just for sleeping 😂

Most online shops cost close or more than some physical shops.

As I have websites, FB Ads & Jiji. I spent money yearly to the tune of what most people found it very hard to believe. Let’s not get into that topic now 🫩

Trust and Buy or Go to next person/shop - SIMPLE

I have physical address by the way 🤝 (on the image below)

Red flag… Stone Age or not. If you don’t do shady deals you will have no problem getting a shop or meeting up one on one. What else are you doing that you don’t have time for your business?
Everyone must not own a shop.

Not all business models require a shop

Same item you wanted to buy from him, there are 100 to 1000 shops selling it. If you don’t trust him after seeing his past delivery proofs (pics), leave his inbox.

It’s not a MUST to patronize one particular person.

There are home businesses or online businesses!

In Ajah and most parts of Lagos island, many women turn their kitchen to full capacity kitchen. They cook, place their dishes online on so many platforms and dispatch to riders to various locations. The only person that knows the location is the rider.

Some others do all other kinds of business from the comfort of their home. It’s SIDE HUSTLE. It can grow to main hustle or not. Others chose to keep it home business forever! - by choice or partner’s choice.

You don’t expect everyone to meet up or own a shop. People do other things and as such, the things you see them market/sale on a platform is side hustle.

There’s a reason for marketplaces like Alaba, Trade Fair, Lagos Island etc. if you’re not comfortable buying from an online seller, go to any market. Someone will direct you to where you can buy anything you’re looking for. Just give him 1k, 2k or whatever!

I’ve been in Lagos for many years, I’ve not seen Jumia or Konga shop anywhere. I can only see pickup centers. I never see someone selling to me. I only see the dispatch rider.

Business is a not a do-or-die something. People chose to do their own in terms that suits them.

Lagos is a city. A city is fast. Except you’re seeing it as otherwise!

Disclaimer: I don’t know FutureFocus or have transacted with him. I only reply to your comment calling his business model a “red flag”.

I’ve been on NL for many years, I’ve sold and bought many things. Most times, I don’t even meet buyer or seller. I’m on other online marketplaces + the one I own. I don’t meet buyers or do pay on delivery until I have a physical shop address.

Some buyers call me names whenever I decline their “pay on delivery” requests. Even people living in PH, Benin or Northern Nigeria. I don’t have time for all that. Buy and I dispatch or waybill. Simple and easy for us! If you don’t trust, locate any market around you and buy it. There are markets all over Nigerian states!

Thanks and do have a nice day.

Stay Jiggy ✌️

I can work on it to bring organic users via SEO.

Same strategy I used to gain 200+ sellers on my solar marketplace; Alaba Solar

I’ll use the keyword planner, contents makers, google trends, Semrush and LSI keywords to build the content that suits the niche; then 301 redirects for link building. Then, you wait few weeks for rankings and engagement.

Not plug and play. A steady follow up of the impressions on GSC is necessary to monitor growths.

I can also design a real estate marketplace. I’ll send a demo link first.

If you’re knowledgeable about what I stated above and ready to work your butt off; you can do all that yourself 😎

Stay Jiggy ✌️

It took me about 2 months, 2-3 hours a day, sometimes I didn't code for days, I only return to it when I got bored with my main project.

Your site looks nice, I like the fact that it doesn't take much time to load, the minimalism is great for user experience and SEO
How about NairáBôard 🤔

I can’t access the link after going through Una arguments 😌

Thought you paid 5 to 10 years domain fees and hosting fee. At least, the keep the site online for as long as possible.

Considering the way you were seriously attacking anyone that opposed your idea or try to add his opinion.

What went wrong? Users wasn’t coming from Google again and engaging on contents?
