Guy you might have a good history with him behind the cyber space, I don't know him, only for his service. Sentiments aside, Even if it's 1$, he should pay up. Not keeping me till a week, excuses upon excuses. And the excuses keeps growing daily. Drop or not drop, I sent him PayPal confirmation, which he acknowledged the total amount.

If I was the one that recommended him to you for his service, and you've gotten the confirmation of sent funds, instead you keep on getting excuses for God knows when. Won't you come back to me asking for your payment?, After all i was the one who referred you.

A business with sentiments, won't grow. He should take up the responsibility as a professional.

Next time, read with better comprehension and endeavour to stay within the context of the discussion. Because, if you had, you would have noticed that my post referred to this platform (Nairaland) specifically.

I also have closed whatsapp groups i have been a member of for 5 years now. We are now more of a close-knit family, know each other by name and asking for vouch is a mere formality. I also have freelancers that value my business enough to come to me first when they have freshly-baked funds. Those are different scenarios that thrive on familiarity, relationship and goodwill

But Nairaland is a free-for-all platform. Anybody can just come on here, create account and advertise funds. That is why we should always preach Escrow here

This is a very terrible and even implicative advise to give here.

We have seen old members gone rogue here. We have seen members carefully build up reputation and trust for themselves here only to perpetrate fraud in one fell swoop one day.

Aside the fact that most of these so-called old members are proud fellows that will never give customers value for their money, Nobody is bigger than escrow. Nobody is above escrow here.
