Possap often rejects foreign cards. Try these options that others abroad used successfully:

• Use virtual cards from Flutterwave or Paystack.
• Ask a trusted person in Nigeria to make the payment with their card, then send you the receipt.
• Some use Pay4Me App or Barter USD card to pay online.

Harykemi:
Please I am having issues paying for police certificate online (I live in uk) I have tried different cards but not working. The customer service in Possap have not been useful. They just keep saying use fintech in tech. Please anyone who have done this or what other alternative do I have. I’ve been battling this since yesterday. Even Acro no take me more than 30 minutes to complete

For Express Entry, IRCC counts part time work the same as full time. One year means 1560 hours. You can reach it with any combination, for example 15 hours per week for two years or weekend shifts over a longer period.

Your NOC must match your duties, not your main job title. If you have consistent pharmacy duties even on weekends, those hours can count.

Reference letters should be recent, but even if the work happened years ago, the letter is still valid as long as it covers the correct dates and duties. Just add LOE explaining why the letter is old if needed.

So, weekend pharmacy work is fine. Just calculate total hours and make sure duties match your NOC.

Lady250:
I need help Pls.
What's the maximum hours of part time employment one needs to make up for `1 year of active employment in a desired NOC?
My NOC is pharmacy but I only do Pharmacy related activities on weekend basis as it is not my main employment. I know a full time is 40hrs/week. Please what about Part time.

Again, How outdated can reference letters be. Its 3-5 years ago so outdated?

If you already see COPR details on your tracker but no PPR or RFV email yet, it usually means your portal login will come next. People with similar timelines often receive the portal instruction within one to three weeks after seeing COPR appear. Keep checking your email, including spam, If nothing comes after three weeks, send a webform or call IRCC. Windsor and Etobicoke VO have been slow lately, so slight delay is normal. You are close. Just monitor your email and be ready for the portal invite.

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by yingman: 7:52pm On Nov 19, 2025
• Passport with PR visa
• COPR document
• Proof of funds statement
• List of goods accompanying and goods to follow
• Any relevant medical documents or prescriptions
• Address where your PR card will be delivered

voltred:
Documents like what please
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by yingman: 7:50pm On Nov 19, 2025
Your degree does not need to match your work experience. IRCC only checks that your NOC job duties match your actual work history. Many people studied one field but work in another and still got PR

Donpre:
Thank you so much

Does this experience have to be the same as my degree. E.g I have years of experience as a software developer but my degree is a health science one with only 1-2 years of experience

What do I do in my case
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by yingman: 9:01am On Nov 18, 2025
Foreign skilled experience is proven mainly through a reference letter from your employer. IRCC expects the letter to have:

• Company letterhead with address and contact
• Your full name and job title
• Start date and end date
• Hours per week
• Salary
• Detailed list of job duties that match your NOC

Attach supporting documents:
• Pay slips
• Employment contract
• Bank statements showing salary
• Tax or pension records if available

If the employer cannot provide all details, add a Letter of Explanation and include what you have. IRCC checks duties first, not the job title.

Donpre:
As regards foreign skilled experience... how is this proven? What should the reference letter contain
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by yingman: 8:58am On Nov 18, 2025
Do not change any dates after ITA. It can trigger review or refusal for inconsistency. Keep the education dates as submitted.

What you need is a clear Letter of Explanation. Write that you completed academic requirements in 2019 and received your provisional license at induction, but your certificate was officially issued in 2020. Many schools do this and IRCC understands it.

In your LOE attach:
• Transcript showing final academic year as 2019
• Provisional license dated 2019
• Certificate dated 2020

Explain that internship began after academic completion and was required for professional practice. That removes the overlap concern.

LOE goes under the Optional Documents section or attached together with your degree upload.

No need to panic. Just explain it clearly. IRCC has seen this before.

Zeemaan:
Please I need help o.

I went to university from 2013 to 2019. I did induction in 2019 December and started internship in May, 2020. I am currently using the internship work to claim crs points.

However, my statement of result and certificate reads November 2020.
While filling my express entry profile, I filled my education period as November 2013 to November 2020 (the date on my certificate) but this creates some overlap in my personal history in the sense that it now appears like I was doing internship while also studying. Before I could change it, I got an ITA.

Please would it be ok to change my graduation date to 2019 now that I already got an ITA? I plan to attach a LOE together with my provisional practice License which was given on induction day in December 2019 and my transcripts which shows 2019 on my final year, with the intention of explaining that I met all degree requirements and was even given provisional licence before my certificate was issued.

Or should I desist from making any changes and submitting LOE? Please this is urgent. Thanks.

One more thing please,,,, Where does one upload a LOE for this situation? I can't seem to find any space.... Or is it in the section where I am to upload my certificate and transcripts?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by yingman: 8:57am On Nov 18, 2025
Your counterfoil is not tied to the country of submission. Once your passport is stamped with PR visa and COPR is issued, you can travel from any country as long as the passport and visa are valid. Just make sure you carry all documents when landing in Canada.

Zeemaan:
I'm working in another country and I received an ITA. My leave would be by April next year. My question is, if my PR application is successful, can I travel from a different country let's say, like country B if my passport was stamped in country A?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by yingman: 10:10am On Nov 16, 2025
Yes, you can. IRCC accepts proof of funds from any country as long as the money is in your name and you can access it. Just make sure the UK account is active and you can show six months of statements with your name, account number, currency, and balance.

codedarrow:
Hi Everyone,

Pls I need advise. I relocated back to Nigeria from UK but my POF already saved in my UK account can I still use this UK bank statement while applying PR from Nigeria?

Thanks

Accra has been slow lately. Four to eight weeks is common after passport submission. Some people even hit nine weeks before movement. If it passes eight weeks with no update, send a webform to IRCC or email the VAC to confirm status.

vickyehi:
anyone has a timeline for passport return from Accra? It’s been at least 5weeks now. Should I be worried?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by yingman: 7:04am On Nov 07, 2025
Canada evaluates you mainly on work experience, age, language score, and proof of funds. Your degree helps you qualify for Express Entry but does not increase your chances as much as strong language scores and work experience. Your degree does not need to match your job. IRCC cares about your work experience and language scores, not the field of your degree.

At 41, CRS drops a lot. A job offer used to give extra CRS. That rule is gone. LMIA still helps you get a work permit, but it no longer boosts CRS.

Right now, French is the strongest lever. If you get CLB 7 in French, you unlock:
• Federal French category draws. Lower CRS cutoffs.
• Ontario French stream. No job offer required.

You can run both plays at the same time.
Study French for TEF or TCF, target CLB 7.
Apply for jobs as a technician in Atlantic and rural provinces.

If an employer bites, enter through work permit. If not, French gives you a path through Express Entry or PNP.

Do not overthink the degree. IRCC accepts any degree if your experience matches the NOC you claim.

Focus on French and your work history. That is what will move your file.

lovere:
Hello my people, I’m a currently based in the middeast with my wife and a baby. I’ve been working here for a few years as a technician with hands-on experience in: IT cabling & network setups CCTV and security system installations. I have security system certification from an institution here in UAE. I am also aood in electrical installations.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities, but most of my work experience is technical. I’ll be 41 years old by march 2026, and I’ve managed to save about $27,000 USD to support our relocation plan. My goal is to move to Canada with my family, ideally through a pathway that allows me to work directly or through a provincial nomination (PNP). I’d appreciate advice from anyone here who has followed a similar route or successfully relocated with a trade/technical background: Which provincial programs currently favor technicians or general trades?

Would it be wiser to start with an employer-sponsored job or go through Express Entry + PNP? How much does my humanities degree help in improving CRS points or eligibility? I’m really serious about making this move the right way, so any recent experiences, recommendations, or tips will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

IRCC prefers a reference letter on company letterhead. It must show job title, start date, end date, hours per week, salary, and detailed duties.

If you cannot get it, IRCC allows alternate proof. You must show that you tried to get the letter. Keep proof of your attempts. A colleague can write a statutory declaration or sworn affidavit describing your role and duties. The person does not need to be senior to you. They only need direct knowledge of your work. Notarize the affidavit.

Zeemaan:
Please I have a few questions.
1. Would IRCC accept other evidence if my previous boss refuses to write me a reference letter? The documents I have are:

-Appointment letter stating my start date and salary

-Several letters indicating increase in my salary

-An SOP sent via email showing my responsibility in great detail

-An award certificate I received while working

-My videos on the Instagram page of my work place. (some are even pinned)

Please are there other documents I'll need to attach? My colleagues whom I worked with while I was there have all left the place except one who is lower in rank and has a completely different responsibility (More like dentist vs dental technologist).

Could this person write a notarised reference for me?

I am still going to ask my previous boss for a reference via email so that I can have better evidence.

I previously asked for an experience letter via WhatsApp late last year and she accused me of not being interested in the wellbeing of her business because I didn't fill the exit interview form she sent me when I resigned. She stopped reading my messages afterwards.

yingman:
Let me share my IELTS journey with you, at least to motivate you.

First attempt in February
L 8.5
R 8.5
W 6.5
S 7.5
Back then, I knew very little about Skill Transferability factors & Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level per ability. So i decided against going for an EOR. Ended up in the pool with a CRS of 393 in May.
The delay was due to the waiting period for WES to issue my ECA.

Second attempt in August
L 7.5
R 7
W 7
S 7
CRS was below my previous score and I made sure to apply for an EOR for all sections excluding the reading section.
I did this and immediately applied for a third attempt a few weeks later.

Third attempt same August
L 9
R 8
W 7.5
S 7.5
Entered the pool with a CRS of 441.

Still awaiting the outcome on my EOR for the second attempt.

It is so depressing when you wait a while to give IELTS a shot with huge expectations and in the end you slip by a slight margin.
Money wasted still towards a dream...but it's your dream, and to achieve it we should do everything we can.

It's up to you now. If you have the funds and you are confident that you deserved a better score, make an enquiry.
If possible register to retake the test again, prepare diligently while you await the outcome of the EOR.

Congratulations to all recent PPR recipients. Good Luck for future endeavours.
It has been a good day so far.

Sooner or Later you're gonna get what you've desired or worked for or prayed for. Hold On, it's on its way!!
