@funkybaby We have previously visited the united kingdom in July 1999, and i am to make this trip on medical grounds due to the acute chest pains i have been having. I have seen some doctors in Nigeria but the pain has continued to persist, so my father agreed to send me to the united kingdom, where the health care services are better and for proper treatment. My Uncle's Partner, a British Citizen was contacted and she readily made an appointment for the 5th of June 2007. Our first application was made on the 25th of may, where we provided the following documents: Letters of consent from my father, Letters from our Schoold, Letter from Host , Letter from Doctor here in Nigeria. This request was turned down because we didn't provide evidence to show accomodation in the Uk, Letter from Doctor in the UK, Evidence to show my mother, brother and I are related, Evidence to show source of funds. We reapplied on the 28th of June, 2007 with documents such as affidavits from my father and mother, aunties British Passport, Tenancy Agreement and Pay Slip, My mother's share certificate, Letter from our Schools, Letter from my Father's Employer, I.D Card, My Father's Bank Statements, Copies of my mother and father's uk visa, family photographs. It is clear the ECO did not take all these into consideration, because how can he/she say we have not provided evidence that my mother and i are related when family photographs have been enclosed, marriage certificates and also copies of her valid UK visa to show we are travelling with her. Pictures don't tell lies do they? Also a copy of her bank statement and her national identity card was enclosed. In the refusal of entry clearance, he/she said that original birth cerificates should be provided but it was written in the first refusal that family photos could prove this point and this was provided. The letter also states that the letter from the Doctor could be written by anyone, but if he/she was in doubt the contact phone numbers of my Doctor in the UK are on that letter and he can be contacted to confirm if actually did issue the letter. Although most of the documents were copies, what do you suggest i do. As they i have no right to appeal except on the grounds of race discrimination act and human rights act. I'm afriad if i apply a third time with the original documents it will be sucessfull and also if i have a right to appeal on those grounds. |
