@Tatacherie, wow! It looks great! I can't see the mistakes though. @UmmTwins2, Tochex101, welcome on board. Many thanks for the compliment. @UmmTwins2, join your foundation chain with slip st to form a ring that is exactly the circumference of the child's head. Then work the rest of the crown in the round. |

@supertender, I found this : https://mypicot.com/crochet_patterns_photo_09.html You can use single strand yarn so that it is lightweight. The good thing about this one is that you draft a paper pattern based on the child's measurement. And then make as many motifs as will fill up your paper pattern.

tatacherie:Hmmm! I only saw your post after replying. It's all for good. Meanwhile your works are damn so pretty! More power to your hook. |
@supertender, local yarn is also okay. You will just need to adapt accordingly. I will look out for a pattern that can be modified. |
uniqueolu:Ibadan crew, your help is needed here! |
|
@uniqueolu, welcome on board.
Where are you based? There could be someone near you who can help out. |

@Larajay009, welcome on board. You will need a hook, ball of yarn and 9 yards of patience. |

@ supertender, what kind of shrug are you after - long or short sleeve, lacy or plain pattern, one or more colours? Patterns can always be modified to suit your yarn type. Let me know what you have in mind and then we can do some drafting. By the way, we will require the child's measurement I.e 1.shoulder length ( measured at the back from one shoulder to the other) 2. sleeve length 3. shrug length |

@rezzy, there are many great brands such as canon, red heart, lion brand, Patons etc. I'm not sure if you will find an elastic chunky yarn. You could contact the companies and see what they recommend. Found this http://www.the-knitting-wool-store.com/diva-comfort-stretch-yarn.html @supertender, shrugs/boleros - yes I do.

@supertender, the one I used for the rug blanket was given to me by someone. I bought some myself and others were gifts. Mallforafrica facilitates shipping from abroad. I'm not sure if they still do. @hian, I'm currently offshore. Don't really teach except online |
@Toyinke09, welcome on board. @supertender, good morning. The yarn came from abroad. |
