Candidates meeting any of the following criteria are disqualified despite their total score:
Candidates who are over the age limit.
Candidates who have highest educational qualification that is higher or lower than that established for the position.
Candidates whose course of study does not match the required course of study as advertiseA candidate’s Total Score is derived from the weighting of his/her scores of Aptitude Test, Physical Fitness Test, Oral Interview, Height, Age, Educational Qualification, and Experience as detailed in the requirements for the various jobs. In addition, each candidate’s credentials were reviewed.

I only posted an information regarding the first time this recruitment was conducted in 2012 and cancelled. And I made it so clear that this YEAR 2015 will GO ON AS SCHEDULED. So why the stupid remark of “You Be MUMU"... I guess you have a big deficiency in understanding and comprehending simple English Vocabularies... #Go back and learn well.......mtchweeeee.....

Nigerian Breaking News 2012..
FG cancels Immigration recruitment.
In a statement in Abuja yesterday, the Interior Ministry
ordered that the exercise be canceled “until a more
transparent, acceptable” procedure is adopted.
“Minister of Interior Comrade Abba Moro has directed the
cancellation of the ongoing recruitment exercise in the
Nigeria Immigration Service,” a statement by the minister’s
spokesman Ubong George Udoh said.
“(The) Minister stated that following apparent controversy
trailing the ongoing recruitment exercise in Nigeria
Immigration Service, the responsible thing to do is to cancel
the exercise until a more transparent, acceptable and
effaceable platform is established to enlist qualified
Nigerians into the service.
“Comrade Moro directed further that all appointment letters
issued and documentations carried out stand cancelled,
until the Civil Defence, Immigration and Prisons Service
Board, meet to consider the waivers granted Nigeria
Immigration service to recruit men and women into the
service.
“Finally the Honorable Minister has also directed that forth
with all recruitment into the services of the Federal Fire
Service, Nigerian Prisons Service, Nigeria Immigration
Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps are
suspended until a more transparent exercise based on
already established guidelines before such requirements will
be conducted.”
Yesterday’s cancellation of the recruitment came on the
heels of a probe opened by the House of Representatives
Committee on Federal Character which had also asked the
Immigration service to suspend the exercise.
Daily Trust reported yesterday that Uzoma appeared before
the House committee lastweek to defend accusations of
failure to publicly advertise vacancies and giving undue
favouritism to the Southeast.
She told the lawmakers that the service did not advertise the
jobs so as not to unknowingly employ terrorists, but the
lawmakers reminded her that even the Military and Police
are advertising their vacancies in spite of the prevailing
insurgency.
She also said she had already obtained approval from the
Head of Service of the Federation to employ 4,560 people.
The House committee found out that out of the over 25,000
existing Immigration staff, Uzoma’s husband’s state of
origin Imo has the highest number with 1,190; Kano has
350; Lagos has 400; while Sokoto has the least with 200.
In the now cancelled recruitment exercise, Uzoma had
offered hundreds of job slots to top government
functionaries, including the Presidency which is offered 250
slots, Jonathan’s mother 40slots, First Lady 100 slots,
Interior Minister Abba Moro 100 slots, two commissioners
of the Immigration board 30 slots each, and the Federal
Character Commission 250 slots.
A source said the Federal Character Commission was given
those job slots for giving the Immigration service waiver on
the advertisement of the vacancies, but the commission’s
spokesman Usman Jimada denied any wrongdoing.
Spokesman for the Immigration service Mr. Olumbar
Joachim said on Sunday he was not aware of the
Presidency getting offers to fill certain vacancies but added
that there was nothing wrong with the Presidency or other

It will be stated therein if you've been shortlisted the venue of your Test. Check out this sample:

After careful consideration, we are pleased to inform you that you have been short-listed for a Computer-Based Aptitude Test. The CBT will test your knowledge of English (20), Simple Mathematics (10), Current Affairs (10) & Logical Reasoning (10).

To continue with your application, please return to the web portal
(https://www.nis.fedcivilservice.gov.ng), login using your registered email and password and upload your passport size photo, educational certificates, proof of Date of Birth, proof of State of Origin, Certificate of Physically and Mentally fitness for appointment in the Service issued by a Government Medical Officer and your Identification card on or before the 10th of April, 2015.

You are required to go to the following location for your Computer-Based Aptitude Test:

Date: Saturday, 25th of April 2015 (date of test varies)

Don't forget to print the letter because you're also expected to take it with you to the venue of the examination plus your ID which could either be your voter’s card or any other means of identity.

But if you’re not shortlisted, the message is explicit thus:

CHECK THE SHORTLISTED NAMES
If you cannot sill get the application status email from NIS, then login to:
https://www.nis.fedcivilservice.gov.ng

Click on SHORTLIST to check if your name is there. Type your NIS application number, or your full name, or search for your state of origin, which has been arranged alphabetically, search for your name and application number.

If your name is there, but still can’t get email status from NIS, print the page which contains your name.

But the simplest and most logical option is to check your inbox in order to be sure of your exam venue, or to KNOW if you didn’t make it.

WHY YOU ARE UNABLE TO GET THE EMAIL FROM NIS As earlier stated, I believe Nigeria Immigration Service sends email to all applicants irrespective of your status (whether shortlisted or not), but I’ve discovered that Yahoo Mail Users are highly affected inability to get the email.

At least one out of 5 yahoo mail users doesn't get the application status email from NIS.
One thing I've discovered about Yahoo mail lately is that email sent to yahoo mail either gets hanged or lost in the cyberspace, thereby becoming difficult for the prospective receiver to get it on time, or not at all. Honestly, that's one of the problems yahoo users are facing lately. .

WHAT TO DO IF YOU CANNOT GET NIS APPLICATION STATUS EMAIL

NOTE: This is my personal suggestion, not recommended by NIS, therefore you’re taking this advice on a trial ground; and I’m solely responsible for this post.

If your name is there, but still can’t get email status from NIS, print the page which contains your name.
Go ahead to upload the necessary documents: passport, educational qualifications, etc.
Find out the nearest Exam Venue commissioned by NIS take it with you on the day of exam.

That’s a game of chance as NIS has stated the application email and ID are the Pass they’ll be using for accreditation before the test. If you follow this advice, you are only trying your luck!

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH TEST CENTRE TO GO IF I HAVE BEEN SHORTLISTED< BUT YET TO RECEIVE EMAIL FOR THE VENUE FOR THE TEST?
Since you couldn’t get the email, it becomes difficult to know where and when to write your test.
Date: It begins on 20th April and expected to finally come to a close on Saturday, 25th of April 2015

LAGOS - Chams City, 2 Isaac John, Ikeja GRA. Lagos is the only centre in the south west I know of for now, please drop your update if you have seen or know of other centre in the SouthWest, please.

Accreditation Period: It varies. Some from 11 am - 12 pm, some from 2 pm - 3 pm

Test Period: it varies. Some from 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm, some from 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm

A guy called and told me he’ll be writing his in Abuja.

Drop your centre, please, to assist those that are determined to try this so as to know the nearest centre to their state of location.

HOW TO STARE CLEAR OF SCAM
Scammers are lurking the internet, please disregard anyone who claims to be an insider of the immigration. Or who asks you to pay in order to be shortlisted, or for you to get the email.

Don't pay anyone for recruitment. The committee has emphatically stated that it is going to be free. And if anyone says you should bring money it's a SCAM!

After filling all those, click on "contact us" to send the message You can call them during working hours on ( 09-2348286)
Unfortunately, the number is not even connecting at all, and the complaint mail sent to the committee is not being responded to. My last try was Tuesday 7, April, 2015. So what is the point? You can keep trying anyway. You could be lucky

That site is what dragnet uses for their test. They will show u ur score immediately. You will be surprise that u can't get 5 answers correct. You can also review ur answers n get explanations to the questions. Best of luck. See u later.
