There is a supreme Court precedent as regards this and division is only recognized when their is division in the National working committee and not division in the state chapter. Example parallel NWC of the party in the national level is a good grounds for defection without loosing their seats but division in the state chapter doesn't affect the running of the party at the center.

So true and that's why I fear State Police. However, on this case, the court is spot on. The 25 ex lawmakers automatically lost their seats the second they defected to the APC. In a sane society, they don't even need to court to wade in before packing their bags out of the legislative quarters.

As far as the 1999 Constitution is concerned, they are now ex lawmakers.

Hello someone out there,

Pls I was recently mobilized and will begin NYSC registration early next month but wouldn't be able to serve in camp due to ASUU and Covid19 strikes which extended my stay in school by 2 years killing my hope of serving in NYSC at 30 yrs and 2 months.

But nonetheless, I've accepted my fate of just taking my exemption certificate and proceed with life but I'll like to know when the exemption certificate will be ready for collection after registration.. as I was planning on waiting on collecting the exemption certificate before leaving my University community for good!. I've read conflicting information that it's always ready within 3 months and sent to the school, I read elsewhere that it's 6 months after registering which I find very annoying and depressing and I wouldn't want it to take that long.

So pls I beg someone that has been in my shoes in recent past to pls shed light on when the certificate of exemption will be ready for collection. Thank you.

you can only collect it the same day your Bach are collecting the nysc certificate, any moment from that day or that same day. You can go to your school and collect it.
