You lack understanding of what's going on around u. Are u the one to tell me what to do and how to do it. Is it when u begin to see death on the road before u come to reality that Tinubu u are supporting mean no well for the masses. Are u out of reasoning to know that 90 percent of Nigerians are finding it hard to feed their family. UltraSolid: Lame. That "paid Tinubu mouthpiece" is all you can come up with because you are an ignorant and likely bigoted rabble rouser who loves mischief far more than he has a deep grasp of what must happen for Nigeria to be great to the glory and upliftment of every Nigerian.
We will get nowhere giving Nigerians fish rather than adopting the option of teaching and empowering them to fish themselves even if such will come with some pain initially.
If you can think critically, then I challenge you to tell me what is responsible, other than cheap, subsidised, substandard and underfunded education, for German, Chinese, Lebanese, Indian and foreign contractors being responsible for our major civil engineering and infrastructural projects while Nigeria pretends to be producing graduate civil engineers.
Should a 100% proper Nigerian civil engineering firm, full of Nigerian experts trained to world best standards, which always cost far more than we commit to training our engineers in Nigeria, not be able to handle the fourth mainland bridge project, start to finish, for example? Or Eko Atlantic?
We have to change the way we think and operate to gain a better future. You just are not capable of seeing that. This is why you think our best option is trapping Nigerians in generational and never-ending poverty, with cheap fuel, worthlessly cheap education, low electricity tariffs only delivering 2 hours power supply daily, Etal
What people like you support is the equivalent of rejecting the best option of nurturing a child to go from dependant child, who needs a parent to feed and care for them, to independent and productive adulthood.
You want the continuation of a situation where Nigeria hosts 30 year old men with a wife and three kids who are all wretchedly poor because best they can pull in is a family income of 100k per month. Their education, literacy and training is substandard limiting what they can earn. They have far worse quality of life and less productive skills than a 16 year old Briton or American.
Their children will perpetuate the generational poverty cycle too because the Nigerian way condemns them only to surviving and not living as obtains elsewhere.
Instead of thinking government must make everything available within the 100k monthly income of many average families, which is no longer feasible, why not embrace reforms that can see Nigerians begin to earn living wages that cover their optimal growth, development, fulfilled existence and, most crucially, begin the end of generational poverty most Nigerian families are stuck in?
We are too criminally far behind for some of you to keep arguing we must retain the status quo, only capable of perpetuating greater long-term poverty and backwardness, rather than understand we must back reforms that brightens the future immensely for all Nigerians even if doing so means we endure some pain for 1 to 3 years.
Adelabu's success is confirmation of all I have said. You pay more for electricity but gain better power supply which can improve your income and productivity to perhaps even allow you a weekend income, for example, operating a laundry business from home!!
We have to think about doing what must be done to get things working, like electricity and education, that then get Nigerians working to their best potentials. That will then spur productivity which will increase national wealth and development. That's the key to our recovery. Not advocating we endure with cheap goodies and subsidization of everything that will only keep Nigeria and Nigerians poor while the world passes us by. Who has time to read your nonsense. End shall justify the mean |

UltraSolid: Rubbish. You are one of those whose reasons for denigrating Adelabu and Tinubu has nothing to do with genuine love of Nigeria or a sincere desire to see her make progress . Electricity is best it has been in my living memory under Adelabu. For two days (48 hours) now we have had constant electricity minus a two hour period. That is how it has been for months now in Lekki phase 1. Keep letting hate guide your talk therefore turning you into a bitter liar denyi g the truth. Na you sabi.
The truth remains the truth and facts remain facts. Adelabu is competent and delivering. He is 100% right that low cost of electricity remains a disincentive and impediment to improved power supply.
I read a thread recently with many Nigerians commenting on getting 20 hours plus of electricity albeit with complaint about cost. As usual, enemies of progress like yourself refused to give Adelabu credit by claiming "rainy season" is responsible.
Rubbish. The man did a lot of work in the background to whip our distribution companies into shape. By raising tariffs also, distribution companies have more money to meet operational cost to then be more efficient .
This is a problem they have complained of, for ages, as responsible for their poor performance. Yet no Government, from GEJ to Buhari, did anything till Adelabu acted, with a fundamental and holistic approach, to spectacular result.
Adelabu's success, which upsets bigots and haters of Nigeria, perhaps like you, shows the need to persevere with a government and give it reasonable time to deliver. His improvement of power supply also confirms a direct correlation between investing more cash to improve every aspect of Nigerian life from power supply to education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, sports, science and research, security, manufacturing etal as all successful nations have achieved.
The real enemies of Nigeria are haters like you, with hidden agendas, who know but will never admit that Subidizing everything, because the income of Nigerians is disgustingly and unacceptably low, only condemns us to being a nation that will be poor, underdeveloped and troubled forever. Painful reforms are unavoidable to make Nigeria a developed nation.
The way out is to assist the average Nigerian to be more economically productive, and therefore better paid enough so his cash contribution into our national economy, through tax and payment for public services etc, funds the next stage of Nigeria's advancement which will make us a developed nation like the UK, USA, France and even South Africa.
Earning 30k monthly and then complaining about tariff increase, that still leaves Nigeria's power supply rate one of the lowest in Africa, is not the way out because you are indirectly asking the government to keep you poor and on 30k forever since, as an example, adequate power supply that can boost SME proliferation and per capita income, will never be delivered if the power sector never gains the cash to invest in greater generation and better transmission and distribution.
It is like insisting you keep paying peanuts for "subsidised" education when that only delivers substandard graduates to the point we have to import foreigners to carry out major civil engineering projects in Nigeria. You get your cheap education but who is losing out in the long run if not you, your generations unborn and your nation?
Nigeria is broke with a mono and undiversified economy majorly dependent on sales of crude oil. Development, such as provision of stable power, has to be funded by the effort and sweat of Nigerians for now. No two ways about it and the success of Adelabu shows this with how increased cost of power supply is generating positive results. It must be same for other sectors. I don't need to reply u. People like u are the reason many are committing suicide. That u are eating inside Tinubu pot today does not mean it will go like this forever. Karma is coming for u unless this government is doing good thing by plunging majority into abject poverty |
