It's sad that we cannot comment here without sentiments. Most people only want to complain, they don't have any quality input to a topic.

Dangote has complained about this topic and traveling within Africa and it is real, the way the EU has an arrangement that makes it easy to travel within their continent, why is it expensive in Africa?

The man is talking but people just like commenting using politics, tribe and mundane things that has nothing tondo with the topic.

Reading the comments makes me weep for Nigeria. I am beginning to believe that the mentality of the average Nigerian is toxic. I have never seen such negativity in a single space. Air Peace is not just an Allen Onyeama business, it benefits thousands, if not tens of thousands of Nigerians directly and indirectly. Air Peace alone employs more than 50 Thousand Nigerians. In addition, hundreds of Nigerians get their daily bread indirectly from the services they render to Air Peace. The Nigerian government gains revenue from the tax that Air Peace pays. Above all, Air Peace has been able to reduce the price of tickets from Nigeria to the UK. WE NEED TO SUPPORT NOT ONLY AIR PEACE, BUT OTHER LOCAL CAREERS PLYING THE INTERNATIONAL ROUTE WITH ALL OUR MIGHT AND STRENGTH. If Air Peace fails, we are in big trouble.
How this is not clear to an average Nigerians, especially the so called educated ones, is beyond me. By the way, I am not Igbo, so this is from a purely detached perspective

Air peace needs years of international experience and good reviews before I will ever consider them. I don't say my own. I will not fly an airline run by people who cut corners and sell fake goods. Why do people talk and reason like this?

He came to expose the evil in the sector that make many folded up.

Exposing them, is a way in part to curb the evil.
There are many sectors in Nigeria and Sven international where you cannot work if you don't have a strong man somewhere. It's still the same evil all around.

Expose it all. Don't cover evil.

But it pays you and happy about how foreign airliners siphon travelers in this country?

If not for the exposure, who could have thought that foreign airliners can cut their N=L trip to that little amount?

Do you know how much they've made in recent years?

The regulatory port bodies could not even speak about the exorbitant charges.

Let's evil be exposed

Michael O'Learey, CEO of Europe's largest no-frills airline, complains all the time; yet no one makes his ethnicity an issue.

Elon Musk is constantly mouthing off about unfavourable market conditions for his company, Tesla, and no one makes his racial identity the central issue.

Grow up! Prove you are capable of elevated reasoning that is devoid of slurs.

This is the handiwork of the evil Nigerian leaders. Whatever Air Peace has achieved so far is all by dint of hard work. By the skin of his teeth. No assistance whatsoever from the Fulani and Tinubu government. Infact, the Nigerian govt is his enemy Numero uno. They never wanted him to succeed just coz he's an Igbo man. Nigeria is filled with devils in human form in places of leadership. They fought him for years to prevent Nigeria to London flight. They're still fighting him using other African govts. Sane countries support their own but Nigeria, instead of supporting, is bitter that an Igbo man owns an Airline. Nigeria trying to hold the Igbo down is arrant foolishness. Without the Igbo Nigeria can never move forward but backward.

Competing with lower prices is bad for Air Peace brand strategy.

Those guys probably think that you will offer lower prices in order to undercut your competitors so they will rather force you to transfer those charges to your customers. This is not market buying and selling/trading business where you stand in the corner of the market to call your neighbors' customers to one corner, offer your own goods to the customer at lower prices so that you can snatch those customers from your competitors, this is a heavily regulated service sector.

For as long as the charges are not discriminatory then do not complain rather compete fairly with your competitors by providing excellent service and international aviation travel national sentiments.

May God bless Nigeria for ever!Check my signature for free stuffs!

I don't know if you usually drop your brain before logging into nairaland, despite what this man explained in details, you are here yapping nonsense.

What about suggesting Nigerian government getting involved in this, by say taxing 'heavily' those countries airlines that over charge air peace, this way they will be forced to negotiating table which should result in mutual benefits.
