In today's world, where cleanliness and hygiene are paramount, liquid soap has become a household staple. Making your liquid soap can not only save you money but also give you the satisfaction of creating something useful.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to make liquid soap at home:

Ingredients:

Caustic soda (2 tablespoons)
Nitrosol
Soda ash
STPP (Sodium Tripolyphosphate)
Laurel rice (SLS - Sodium Lauryl Sulfate)
Texapon
Sulphonic acid
Formalin (3 tablespoons)
Foam booster
Colour
Perfume

Procedure

- Begin by mixing caustic soda in 1 litre of water. Stir it well and set it aside.
- In another bucket, mix soda ash with 3 litres of water. Stir vigorously to avoid lumps.
- Mix STPP in 3 litres of water in a separate bucket and stir until dissolved.
- In another 3 litres of water, mix Laurel rice (SLS) and stir thoroughly.
- Combine Texapon and Sulphonic acid in a separate container until they are fully dissolved. Do not add water to these chemicals.
- Leave all the mixtures for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the chemicals to dissolve properly.
- Take a large plastic container capable of holding 30 litres of water. Pour 19 litres of water into it and add Nitrosol. Stir well.
- Pour the contents of the buckets (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) one by one into the container with Nitrosol, stirring continuously for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Add foam booster and continue stirring.
- Add 3 tablespoons of formalin as a preservative.
- Mix the desired color in a plastic water bottle (preferably Eva plastic). Shake well and pour it into the mixture. Stir thoroughly.
- Add perfume and stir again. Cover the container.
- Allow the mixture to set overnight. If it's too thick after stirring, add more water to achieve the desired consistency.

If you require smaller quantities, the chemical shop can provide measurements accordingly.

Making liquid soap at home can be a rewarding experience. Not only does it give you control over the ingredients, but it also ensures a constant supply of this essential household item. With this simple guide, you can create your liquid soap tailored to your preferences and needs.
