By the provisions of Section 109 (1) (g) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) the lawmakers who willingly defected to APC have since lost their seats. That is the provisions of the CONSTITUTION OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA and not party power

We therefore call on INEC to immediately conduct fresh elections in Rivers state to elect new lawmakers into offices lost by the former members. If those former members chose to recontest under the APC, so be it but a new election need to be conducted now.

Meanwhile Governor Fubara should make sure that the RSHA quarters is not used as a facility for unruly acts. Therefore all non-members of RSHA and their families should be given 72 hours to pack their belongings abd vacate the premises so that the apartments could be renovated for in-coming house members.

How about the same constitution that says if their is division you can decamp? Or are you not aware that section exists in the Nigeria constitution. Go and read the judgment of between the former speaker tambuwal vs PDP or G5 governors vs PDP.
