Dangote’s fuel oil exports hits Europe

Approximately 72pc of the fuel oil exported from Dangote has found its way to the US since the refinery initiated its first LSSR export tender in mid-February. The total delivery so far stands just shy of 620,000 tons.

According to trade analytics firm Vortexa, another LSSR shipment totaling 83,400 tons left the refinery on May 7. It is slated to arrive in France on May 22, although market participants speculate that this may not be its final destination.

The price assessments for LSSR, based on a fob Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) basis, have remained at a $5 per barrel premium to front-month Ice Brent crude futures this week. This marks a narrowing from an 18-month high of $7.50 per barrel in mid-April.

Maintenance work, which commenced in the first quarter, has impacted fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) units at several refineries. These FCCs play a crucial role in utilising LSSR and low-sulphur vacuum gasoil to augment gasoline yields.

It would strengthen again. Nigeria has been repaying some debts (over 300 million dollars to IMF so far in May plus other debts), Dangote importing much crude oil, Companies repatriating dollars they couldn’t repatriate for years.
In time naira would settle.
Even Ghanaian cedis would begin to settle again most likely between now and June.

well obviously you did not look properly because the ANC only got 46% of the national vote, secondly the EFF didn't grow, they have reached their ceiling and their policies especially those on open borders has kept them from growing, ActionSA on the other hand only contested 6 municipalities... Only 6!! And it already got 2.5% of the national vote, the DA has recently lost white votes not black votes, neither is it a white party, simply looking at SAs demographics will prove that the DA isn't a white party you ignorantly call it, the DA has also done well in recent by elections and is currently controlling 4 of 7 major metros in Joburg, Tshwane,CT and Ekurhuleni.... They might have not grown in support but they have increased the number of metros they are controlling and they are doing very well at running those metros.

My predictions for 2024
ANC: 41%
DA:25%
EFF: 12%
ActionSA :7%
Others: 5%

Unless the EFF go into a coalition with the ANC which is very unlikely we will see a coalition government led by a DA president.
This was my prediction almost a 2 years ago....

How it's panning out:

ANC:42%
DA: 25%
EFF: 9%
MK:9%
PA: 3.5%
.
.
.
ActionSA 1%

Things i didn't expect then: Formation of the MK which has taken votes from the EFF and and obviously a vast chunk of ANC votes, the PA that has grown tremendously, they had a great campaign and their leader Gayton McKenzie must be applauded, they have also certainly taken a chunk of ASA votes and DA colored votes .....ASA being a fart in the wind, there campaigning for these elections as been non existent, in fighting has also greatly damaged the party.

Things that are surprising me:
DA @ 25% although i predicted this then the actual PR of the DA is brain dead and personally i thought they wouldn't get more than 22%

MK taking 3rd spot, I knew Zuma was popular but dammmm....

EFF I honestly thought would've done better, not by much but better, they have certainly been hurt by the MK

Step by Step. We move.

The jet fuel shipment to Europe is just the latest milestone achieved in the last few months. Dangote has already exported six jet fuel/kerosene cargoes, all delivered to Senegal, Togo or Ghana.

I believe(hope) a DA/ANC coalition is on the cards, it will be by far the best outcome for the country and supporters since if you look at the polls more than 60% have voted for a more central leaning government rather than a radical(left) one.
