Does anyone know what could make the steering of a BMW E36 to be stiff after the steering rack and the pump have been changed? it feel very strong and heavy

Please put the car in Park position, Start the engine, turn the steering to the extreme left, then extreme right;

Do you hear a sound when you turn the steering?

The steering is ok now. i turned the steering back and forth to the extreme and it got locked. thereafter it stopped. but the issue now is that i can still see oil dropping from under. Meanwhile the rack and pump were changed twop days ago. what could be the problem? can u drop your phone number so i can reach u on phone.

There is a power steering hose that is leaking. Its not okay to let it go on leaking, go have the hose changed or maybe its the clip, just have it sorted.

U are 100% right, this happened to my bmw 3 series i had to change the hose because it was leaking, After it was changed everything came back to normal
