Most christian dont attend mid week services and they even complain when a sunday service exceeds 2 hours, Is there anything wrong in spending quality time in the presence of God on Sundays or what>? whats really going on?

It is the mindset that some para-church leaders have built into their culture over the years. For example, the other day I was watching a programme on TBN. When Tommy Tenney asked Kirk Franklin what his vison was for youth, guess what the rascal offered? He said that if his wishes were granted, he wanted to see about 2,000 "Christian" night clubs all around America! This is the kind of cosmetic spirituality that so-called leaders and "Christian stars" are offering their generation as a substitute for the real presence of God!

So, does anyone wonder anymore about the state of affairs we have today among a lot of Christians? Although I enjoy Church services all through the week where I fellowship, I thank God for our pastors who constantly challenge us not to become complacent where we are! While praying for a real awakening among Christians, we do our little to seriously take the Gospel of Christ and the reality of God's presence that we speak of, to people all around us. It is not a 'burden', but I can't thank God enough that every single time reports are given, there's always something to refresh everyone present.

I guess it's because nowadays, people see church as a routine i guess, more like something you do to get something u want and not because u love communing with God with ur fellow Christians.

No, that is not what I suggested at all. If you read carefully what I offered, you understand indeed that I'm happy some pastors actually get the WORD across.

If the majority of those who call themselves LEADERS are doing what they are called to do, then we would not even be discussing this at all. If some "pastors" are more interested in the 'performance' exercise to offer cosmetic spirituality instead of the real deal, we would sooner see the revival we so long for.

Quite often, when people begin to express restlessness about Church, we tend to look at them and shake our heads. We should rather be asking questions about the leadership in many quarters instead of quickly writing the seekers off. I personally feel that if people get to experience God for real, this topic would not arise in the first place. But that we're here discussing it, is only a reflection of the state of affairs that those wo call themselves "leaders" have cultured the mindset of many believers.

We ask for true spirituality in Christ - not the hype and facade that have been offered in many places as substitute for true Biblical relationship with God.

Whoever says being in a church is equal to being in the presence of a god?
And moreover,there is nothing new to be said or heard in all these sunday church services.Everything that needs to be said has been said,hence the boredom.
Not to talk of the spiritual shallowness of subjects preached and of the christian doctrine itself.

Churches and Mosques should be knocked down or redeveloped into cheap housing for the poor.

Nobody in their right mind wants to go to church to be bored to death with fairy stories. People go because they are frightened not to go
