We will probably be able to use the SSE Pathway studies to apply for another program in LAB Uni if the SSE degree is no longer possible.

What do you have to say guys??

The more people emphasize on this physical studies, the more resistance they'll likely apply. I believe the question shouldn't have been asked by anyone, considering the new/present government in Finland are clearly not welcoming immigrants.
Re: Finland Japa by oby333: 4:47pm On May 08
@sexy monkey I think they know their students want to come and study physically reason why they offered the immigration assistance if not they would have allowed us all to apply for the online studies ..weder we emphasise or not..let's just watch and see how it will end.

It's hard, That's like a 1.5-hour one-way commute daily. Trains are many times late, and if you drive, snow is everywhere. You have just 24 hours daily, spending 3 hours commuting is a no-no. Commuting is also not free, remember.

Lahti is a big city though. One can always get a job there.

Hello, please does University of Helsinki resume January aside their September resumption date
Re: Finland Japa by biggal: 5:29pm On May 09
Good one. At least they will know we are not smiling. They have to reconsider and come up with a better option. At least they've known that we want to come over. Good one
Re: Finland Japa by biggal: 1:37pm On May 10
This is the response this morning. Seems our case is giving them sleepless nights. Lol.
Pls let's not be using their full name here again ooo

Hi!

Sorry about the delay, we hit a bit of a roadblock with these momentarily, and we've having discussions about the issue with other members of LAB staff. We'll post an update on the Talent page as soon as things move forward.

Here's the update from the goLAB team this morning.
---------------------------------------------------------
Pathway studies status update.

In case you're currently waiting for the course transcripts, and/or you're planning on applying through the pathway studies, this information is for you:
There will be a separate application procedure for SSE pathway students. The details of this are currently being worked out. For now, it is not needed to apply under the "application besed on open UAS studies". We will provide more information when we have more details.

Sincerely
Saku Syngelmä and the goLAB team

-----------------------------------------------------------

I would say let's trust that they will provide a separate application procedure for SSE pathway students as promised.

Hello guys,
Just a little inquiry about Finland proof of funds. Will €6,720.00 be acceptable (or enough) as proof of fund for a student going on the study route?

Please, I really need assistance. I applied for a Conference visa to Finland with the aim of Japa level, I was given 3month visa for the conference and to toured. Pls I don’t want to come back home . Please what is my faith . Is there any way out . Hellpppp ooo

Why are you asking this question from an account linked to your business?
Re: Finland Japa by saheedade1(f): 11:37am On May 31
pansophist:
The biggest misconception about Japa is the idea that you must spend millions. It is not. You can have millions to show on your bank statement, but you don't have to spend millions. It may just happen that you only have to spend on the application fee, depending on the category you applied for.

For example, if you are a family member of a European citizen, then you don't have to show your bank statement, submit proof of flight, or hotel, or that you are coming back to Naija, and the application fee is free. You are literally just going to collect a visa without stress. In fact on the Schengen visa application form, it is written there that EU family members should not fill in that area. And the visa must be issued within two weeks at the latest.

And guess what? the embassy cannot deny you. It's against the law. They can deny it in exceptional circumstances such as you have ebola that can infect the public or a serial killer with the hobby of blowing up stations and airports. Even if you have been banned from entering Europe, your status as a child, spouse, or parent of an EU citizen redeems you and invalidates the ban.

If you have any family with an EU passport, you are a lucky child. Just go and ask the embassy for your visa.

But if you do not have an EU relative, then go through school. Don't go as a visitor, you will suffer eh? As a student, you just buy time for yourself like two years or more (depending on degree length, so you can know your way around, and find a legal route to make your stay permanent.

Please, I really need assistance. I applied for a Conference visa to Finland , I was given 3month visa for the conference and to toured. Is there anything I can do to work and process my over stay .Please what is my faith . Is there any way out . Kindly help a brother.

No, there is nothing you can do to work or process your stay on a visitor's visa, especially after it expires. `The best you can do is to hang yourself through administrative routes that will just buy you time to be legal within the country, but the success rate is painfully low.

1. Administrative routes such as through asylum. They will give you a place to stay, food, medical care, and a stipend until your case is processed, but most cases are turned down.

2. Apply for a residence permit based on humanitarian purposes, in an attempt to invoke ECHR article 8, but it's exceptionally difficult to prove.

But what many undocumented migrants do is that they desperately search for any available human to marry, while being legal as the above points are in process.

But as you are doing that, the dynamics of romance come into play, such as your attractiveness, wealth, height, and what you bring to the table. If you think dating is hard in Naija, enter Europe first grin

Over here it's survival of the fittest, richest, and finest. And to even play the game, the starting point is to be legal. During dates, most people will cut off when they know you are undocumented.

Because it imposes an undue burden on them to make you documented, and many do not meet the requirements due to tough immigration laws (high income, big house, etc to sponsor a foreign spouse), and most will not trust your intent.

Stories abound in TV news, many people also know someone with broken homes consisting of foreign parents, or biracial kids everywhere, with absent dads, and the root cause of these is in many cases, relationships started for document purposes.

The system also makes it harder. For example, you can't marry in the court on a visitor visa, and if you marry in another EU country with liberal marriage laws (eg Denmark), then you must go back to Nigeria to apply.

With the above paragraph in mind, it becomes clear why many are undocumented for decades, with no hope. Also becomes understandable why young boys settle with grannies who are lonely and are celibates for decades since they are easy targets.

Also bear in mind that residence permit have class. If you have a residence permit base on studies, work, and temporary purposes, its like having many of the disadvantages of being illegal, only that you are legal.

Disadvantages such as the inability for your residence to count towards citizenship, no social support from the states (hence they want to see bank statements), and the requirement to leave if the purpose of your stay is over.

So if you decide to overstay, please bear the above in mind. It is very tough out there.

This thing is also here in Chile. I have a venezuelan friend and she has permanent residency here but she can't bring her husband from Venezuela to Chile because she doesn't earn enough. Here they calculate how much you make and check if it's sufficient to support your partner and their family before they give them visa. Funny enough that's temporary visa o. They still calculate again if they want to apply for permanent residency before they approve it for them.

Thanks so much for the enlightenment and also the word of encouragement.
Pls my second question is that,
If am to follow Administrative routes, how can I go about it and also when can I process this ??
Is it immediately I landed or after my document expired??

Also, for the 3month visit , will I be able to get any menial job to survive at all? Either by chance or by luck .
Secondly, where is the most cheapest area in Finland I mean with the least living conditions and expenses?
