This changes nothing

Kuda did the same years back but nothing changed.

How do they know which payment is for cryptocurrency? grin

Except you include "crypto" in the rewarks, no way to know.

There's no bank not being used to buy and sell cryptocurrencies.

They actually thought they did something? Old fools grin

Too much heat from the CBN.

It is almost not possible to track which payment is a crypto payment unless it is stated.

Opay is just telling its users to use their sense.
Make people dey store Bitcoin na... E better pass that Usdt make them let naira breath ... I support cbn on this ...

Makes a lot of sense

Don't add anything crypto or crypto-related in your remarks/description for the transaction

Okay ,

For example am a politician , I want to launder 100 m for example , I can easily put 5 to 10 m in my opay account and buy crypto worth that amount in a day , then continue the following day till am able to move all into my crypto acc.

From my crypto acc I can easily transfer to my US or Uk account from Binance to my US cash app acc .

In less than 1 week I will move all .

This is just to mention few ok 👌 ✌️

If I understand, Opay is only holding the cash for onward transfer to crypto platform. It's just normal transfer that can also be done by other banks.

What now make Opay own special?

Maybe they don't report to CBN large transaction like commercial banks use to do.

I just don't get it

You are the one who is an illiterate and ignorant about the law.

The CBN enabling Act empowers the CBN to determine the legal tender. Since the CBN has said crypto is illegal, let them catch you trading it. You will suffer more than Nnamdi Kanu.
Pay attention!
Cbn has only banned banks from engaging in crypto transactions.
That's where her powers stop.
cbn cannot ban crypto-currency; she doesn't have the legal framework for that.
Now for crypto to be deem illegal, there has to be an enactment by the national assembly and bounded by 24 state assemblies.
Uptil about 4 days back, arise business correspondent dude had a discussion on air with a trading pro in Cape town, where they spoke at length on the current bitcoin halving.
Now, a TV media wouldn't have such discuss if conducting any activities around crypto is a crime.

Not fear, laziness. All money I have made in this life are legit and they're defendable, so there is nothing to fear. I don't get involved in fraudulent things.

I had more than 30 verified bank accounts, so the stress to be on the queue and waste hours at the bank was unnecessary. Na man (SIMP) wey dey madly in love with one woman dey cry during heartbreak.

You cannot finish anything that is peer to peer. It's a foolish endeavor. Especially in a country such as a Nigeria where the authorities are so bad at keeping tabs that they don't even know how many citizens they oversee.

OPay

What’s the benefit of education in Nigeria?
To get high paying jobs and drive good cars??

We keep churning out graduates every year, yet people fly overseas for quality health care.
We keep churning out graduates every year, yet our civil engineers can’t build world class infrastructures but depend on the whites for supervision.
…graduates every year, yet we have the worst economists running the country to ruins with cluelessness.

When you look at the average Nigerian, he doesn’t care if what he learns can be applied in his environment to solve problems. What he thinks about is financial benefits and social glory.
That’s the deep shit we’re in.
