The International Writers Association (IWA) has announced the appointment of Shahid Abbas as the Coordinator for Pakistan. Shahid Abbas, currently serving as the Director of Culture in Pakistan for the State of Birland, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for literature to this prestigious role. The appointment was confirmed in a press statement by the Acting President of the Association, Wole Adedoyin.
In his new capacity, Shahid Abbas will spearhead the IWA's initiatives in Pakistan, fostering a vibrant literary community and promoting the exchange of ideas among writers across the nation. Shahid Abbas, hailing from Karapla, Tandlianwala Faisalabad Pakistan, is a renowned International Author and Poet, adorned with multiple accolades. He authored "Words from Nature" and co-authored "We Speak In Syllables". Currently, he's engrossed in crafting a collaborative poetry book titled "Verses of Meraki" slated for publication in the USA.
His literary endeavors have garnered global recognition, with his works featured in diverse international anthologies and literary platforms, both in print and online, transcending linguistic barriers with translations into 10 languages.
In addition to his literary pursuits, Shahid has assumed significant roles in promoting culture and arts. Recently appointed as the Director of Culture in Pakistan for the State of Birland, he shoulders the responsibility of fostering literary and artistic activities. Moreover, he serves as the President of CIESART Headquarters in Pakistan, appointed by the Camara Internacional de Escritores and Artistas, Spain, and holds the position of CIESART Ambassador for Pakistan. Notably, he's a bestselling author on Amazon, featuring prominently in esteemed anthologies like "Peace is Within Us," published by How to Write for Success Literary Network, Trinidad and Tobago.
