Kuda Bank Locks Customer's Account With 400,000 Naira For No Reason (Photos)

A leading Nigerian Fintech Bank, Kuda Bank has locked customer's Bank account with almost 400,000 naira inside without any reason.

Speaking with 9News Nigeria correspondent, Mazi Kevin Ekechi said he was shocked when he wanted to make some transactions and equally get drugs because he was so sick only to found out his account has been blocked and no reason was given.


He said since last week Tuesday, he has not been able to get any medical attention because his money is trapped and his health condition is deteriorating.

Mr Ekechi further said that Kuda Bank has not responded to his messages to know the reason his bank account was restricted.


According to him, "I'm really in pains. I dont know that I will find myself in this horrible condition. My money is locked for no reason. I linked my BVN with the account since 2021 and I cannot believe that they will just wake up and lock the account."


"I'm really sick but kuda Bank has made my sickness to be worse as I can't get medical help since my money is still trapped with them for no reason".

"They asked me to contact them which I have done but they are not responding to my messages. What again do they want me to do? Should I fly to Lagos?".

"I want Nigerians to come to my rescue as I don't have anyone to help me get my drugs and I don't want to die."


As at the time of filing this report, efforts to reach Kuda Bank for reaction proved abortive.

2. Did any POS you haven't used before send you money.
3. Did you make any cryptocurrency related transaction recently.
4. Are you sure your registration is complete and accurate. I've seen cases where BVN details didn't match the naming order provided during registration but the registration was validated only to be recalled for the error after a period of time.

Kuda bank wey dey restrict my account wey shishi no dey inside. Every time they keep sending me emails to update my account which I have done several times yet they continue restricting it. I don leave the account for dem.

Most are reliable compared to traditional banks. As long as you are not being dodgy with your account, you are safe.

Shouting about getting drugs because you are sick just scream guilty conscience. You are not sick and you don't need money for any drugs. Saying all those things is just a way to invoke pity. The most likely thing that happened is that you received money from a suspicious account or the person that sent you money reported the transaction as fraudulent or the person is involved in cryptocurrency trading or the person is suspected of being involved in cryptocurrency trading or you are involved in cryptocurrency trading
