Barrister (Hajia) Aisha Kaita has been appointed as the National Woman Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

This was contained in a press statement by Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulrazaq, the National Publicity Secretary of the party and dated Thursday, May 16.


He said, "The emergence of seasoned politicians in the administration and management of the New Nigeria People's Party is the tonic required to commence the journey of the new Nigeria of our hopes and dreams.

"Barr Hajia Aisha Kaita, previously enveloped under the dictatorship of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has now been appointed the National Woman Leader. The expulsion of Senator Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima from the New Nigeria People's Party has paved the way for her political experience to be deployed for the good of the party. We therefore call on women of substance and credible Nigerian youths to join us in our hope and dream of a new Nigeria.

"Other notable and well-experienced politicians have started making inquiries about their intention to join the New Nigeria People's Party ahead of the 2027 general election.

"Barr Hajia Aisha Kaita from Kano State has previously held very responsible positions in the Nigerian political establishment with vast experience and is a holder of LLB AND SHARIA LAW.

"She was Director of Women's Presidential Campaign 2007, Acting National Woman Leader of CPC, National Zonal Woman Leader of CPC (elected), National Zonal Woman Leader of NNPP (elected), Chairman of Congress in Kaduna State (PDP), Secretary-General of Congress in Bauchi (PDP), Chairman of Congress in Kwara (APC), Secretary-General of Congress in Gombe State (APC), and Secretary-General of Congress in Bauchi State (PDP).

"National Woman Leader TBO - Buhari Organization for an eight-year tenure, National President of Concerned Citizens of Nigeria for Good Governance.

"It is regrettable to note that great politicians of honour and integrity who would have been part of the journey for a new Nigeria were pushed away from the canopy of the national movement based on the alleged dictatorship of Senator Kwankwaso.

"There were retired Generals, serving governors, ex-governors, senators, federal House members, retired Perm Secs, renowned technocrats, and professionals from all walks of life who were the original members of the national movement with the intention to metamorphose into a political party.

"However, this never worked out when Senator Kwankwaso single-handedly and deceitfully moved the meeting venue to his personal house and began to dictate to members. Noting that Senator Kwankwaso had intentions to be a sole presidential candidate, the assemblage of these great men and women scattered and disappeared.

"It is at this point that Senator Kwankwaso and the remnants of the national movement began to search for a political party for the 2023 general election. It is alleged that political parties like ACCORD PARTY, PRP, AND OTHERS were contacted and none of them allegedly asked for less than 1.2 billion naira down payment and without the structure of the party.

"Fortunately for Senator Kwankwaso and the remnants of the national movement led by Buba Galadima as the chairman of the committee, they ran into children of God, and at no cost, they were assisted.

"Today, Senator Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima, with their Kwankwasiya movement based in Kano, are doing everything possible to hijack the New Nigeria People's Party. What an irony of life, treachery, greed, ungratefulness, betrayal of trust, ingratitude, corruption, and lack of fear of God.

Whatever man proposes, God disposes, and noting that Senator Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima are merely building a castle on shifting sand.

"Under the circumstances, we hereby call on all the original members of the national movement and patriotic politicians to come up, and together we shall reinvent Nigeria again, together with the efforts of the present administration.

"The New Nigeria People's Party is not an opposition party to any existing political party in Nigeria or leadership but rather a responsible partner for the good governance of Nigeria. It is only God that decides who shall be the king."
