Ada lived alone with her mother rachel. Ada had no brother or sister as she was the only child of her parents.

Ada's father passed away when ada was just celebrating her Fifteenth year birthday.

And ever since ada's father passed away it has been hell for ada and her mother.

They could barely feed Two square meals a day, They converted from giving people food to begging for food.

Ada had to quit her education as he mother can't even put food on the table, to talk more of paying her fees.

When ada's father was still alive, rachel which is ada's mom was a complete liability.

She was so lazy that she couldn't cook or do any house chores, she just stayed at home and eat as she got fatter.

When ada's father died it became a problem for her as she knew that she'll have to work if not she will die of hunger.

Ada's Mother rachel was a very selfish person, she only cares about herself.

Her major aim is to satisfy herself and she didn't even care about her own daughter ada.

Ada had already began to hawk different items by the roadside just to survive.

While her mother just stays at home eating all the money that ada had worked for.

Ada was then able to enroll in a public school where they were given free education.

Ada at that time had started seeing her menses as a young woman.

She quickly told her mother about it, but her mother paid no attention and cared less.

She couldn't afford to get herself a menstrual pad and had to go to school like that.

In school her pant and skirt will get soaked and all the students will begin to laugh at her.

She usually end up going home in tears, she kept telling her mom about it but rachel acted as if she didn't care.

At the closure of school one day, ada noticed a girl approaching her.

"I know you might not know me, but I can actually help you" The girl said.

"I don't even know you and you want to help me?" Ada asked.

"My name is stella and I can help you, don't you want money? I can help you with enough money to take care of yourself" Stella said.

"I will love the money, but what do I have to do in other to make this money?" Ada asked.

"It's just a simple thing that will give you cool cash. Just meet me at Royal's hotel by 8pm" Stella said.

"Wait, what will I be doing at the hotel by 8. And secondly my mom would never allow me" Ada said.

"Just think of an excuse. And show up with your best dress" Stella said as she left.

"There is no way I'm going there. But first I have to discuss this with my mother" Ada said as she heads home

When ada got home, she was surprised to find the door open.

She walked inside the house and couldn't find her mother or any of her mother's belongings.

She then saw a note on the table which says;

"Ada I'm sorry to announce to you that you are now an orphan. You lost your father and now you have lost me.

I am not dead but you are really never going to see me ever again in your life, I'm gone. So I'd advise you to take good care of yourself. BYE."

After reading the letter, ada fell on the floor crying her heart out.

"How am I going to survive? How am I going to feed? I'm too young to cater for myself" Ada said to herself whilst crying.

Then suddenly Ada remembers the conversation she had earlier on with stella.
