I repeat, 40(forty) Marvel/DC Superhero Movies Arriving In The Next 6 Years...

FACTS

The fourth and final comic book movie superhero blockbuster of 2014 is finishing its run in theaters with The Guardians Of The Glaxy (Marvel try out smiley ) setting multiple world records for its August opening and many weekends since.
Now, we can look forward to what the studios will bring in the coming years, especially after some major recent announcements from Marvel Studios/Disney And DC Entertainment/Warner Bros.

Looking ahead has been made easier than ever thanks to the studios developing these comic book properties for film continuing to announce release dates further and further into the future (Marvel added six around Comic-Con), and Sony attempting to blow open the Spider-Man movie franchise with a slate of movies that feature other characters as the lead(s).

Then of course, there’s Twentieth Century Fox who are finally going to bring their Marvel properties to the forefront with annual releases and a “serious” reboot of the Fantastic Four ( Tho I see it as 'unnecessary',just a cheap way of trying to retain the rights from Marvel undecided).
They even announced an Fantastic Four followup already shocked (Tho the latter hasn't even hit theatres yet,I mean not in a year time, this just shows FOX means business cool ) alongside Deadpool (ok not gonna lie a bit happy with this).

Finally, there’s Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment who are using the followup to 2013′s Man Of Steel to launch their own shared cinematic universe. They announced 9 additional DC Movies release dates (the slot's been filled, below) .
Everyone wants a part of the shared universe pie and there’s a race to plant tentpoles for the future. As a result, we currently have over 40 Marvel and DC branded films scheduled to hit cinemas the next six years, with a few more still unannounced..

NOW LET'S FACE REALITY

Ever since the first X-Men movie kick starting the world of superheroes on the big screen and the epic Sam Raimi spider-man trilogy, audiences became fascinated with this genre.
I mean super-hero movies breaking records, making Box Office hits, tho there were a few flukes along the way not all was that successful(shoutout to Green Lantern,Daredevil,Elektra,The Hulk e.t.c).
You should note by using successful doesn't necessary mean 'Financially' but also with the level 'Criticisms' (take Spider-Man 3 for example which was financially succesful, but because of the level of criticisms, the franchise had to be rebooted,,and the rebooted version seems to be facing similar woes,The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ).

And then Marvel came with its 'Shared Universe',in which you get to see some of your favourite heroes interact with each other in the big screen and it seemed to work for them,I mean The Avengers grossed over A Billion dollars world wide, making it the 3rd highest ever grossing movie at the box office just under Avatar and Titanic.

With Marvel's The Avengers it paved a way for each upcoming Marvel standalone movie thereafter and they were remarkably successful,Iron Man 3 crossing the Billion dollar mark and being the 6th highest ever grossing film.

Now with this success,of cus drives competition in,you know studios would want a taste from it, I mean there's FOX with X-Men,FF, Sony with Spider-Man(about to start its own shared universe),and DC/warner bros. kick starting its shared universe from Man Of Steel with Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice(2016) leading the way.

But with this race for success are this studios crowding the Superhero genre? Storylines appear similar, same old hero villain thing. Marvel seems trying to distant itself from such,as a case of study, take the mind blowing Captain America:The Winter Soldier this movie was filled with thrills, conspiracies, well directed action scenes, suspense and using little CGI,in which in real sense you won't fathom this in this period of Super-Hero movies. And audience, critics alike seem to like this new take.

With Sony trying to start a shared universe from just a Character they possess(Spider-Man),with sinister 6 kicking it off(something we didn't ask for undecided ,just sell the rights back to Marvel already).
With this bulk of characters coming to the big screen it has left many seeing the Superhero genre going the way of the Western movies genre(which was at its peak during the 30s,40s,50s,60s... And then suddenly blinked out of existence). Tho it is argued people didn't grow tired of Western Movies' because of its Numbers but because they can't ever bring anything new. (And this seems to be the road Superhero Movies are taking).

Now do you see the superhero movies genre getting too much and soon become generic going the way of the 'Western Movies' genre?
Or
Do you see it keep its spectacular pace of dominance in the box office irrespective of the bulk of Superhero movies being made? Pls do share...
