Nigerians in an act of kindness have been raised over N22 million for the welfare of the children of Olamide Omajuwa Alli who was murdered by her fiancé, Chris Ndukwe.

The crowdfunding process was spearheaded by Accessing Grants for Startups better known as AGS Tribe, a women entrepreneurial empowerment community, which Alli until her death was an active member.

It would be recalled Alli, was viciously killed by her fiancé, Chris Ndukwe on June 21. He then killed himself by drinking a poisonous substance, leaving behind their two children.

Following the tragic incidence, AGS Tribe with the permission of the family of Alli’s announced the start of a fundraiser in her honor.

According to the organization, all proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to set up a Trust Fund for her children (7 and 3 years old).

It also stated that the Trust Fund, which will be managed by FBN Quest Trustees, was set at N20million target.

Exactly a week after the community first announced the Trust Fund, AGS Tribe has now announced that it has exceeded the set target, raising over N22million.

Speaking about their success, the founder of AGS Tribe, Ife Durosinmi Etti stated;

“Exactly a week after the first announcement, we have been able to surpass our target. This is actually wild! I do not have the words to describe how I feel. When I announced the 20million as a target, I was scared. After we got to 6 million, I started having heart palpitations. I do not even know why, but even more fear set in.“

Etti appreciated everyone who contributed to the cause, saying;

“God bless everyone that was part of this journey! You will never be close to any tragedy all the days of your life and you will always find Favour in all you do. We will keep you all updated on everything.“
