I'm about to buy a xiaomi monitor worth 395k from Jiji,
Sellers been on Jiji for 4 years with over 23 ads running rn.
Sellers location is 14b pebble Street computer village.

I'm not in Lagos currently and have no one to check it out.

I suggested the buyer takes the monitor to gig logistics and on video call he processes it there and I make payments once he's done and gig confirms it.

Any advice on how to go about this?
How to buy from Jiji sellers without issues.

As I'm currently at uyo and need it here.

Your idea is the way to go .
Process your online orders through registered and verified logistics company like Good Is Good (GIG) , Konga,Jumia, and co.
These companies are duly registered with CAC and will never set out or conspire to scam you.
Govt. have them on their database.
