If your money is not enough for solar system, you could opt for power station instead. I use this yoobao to power my laptop and fan.

judatech: It's a storage unit that helps to distribute current to your house or office. You can use solar panel or electricity to charge it. Depending on the wattage it can carry A.C and fridge for couple of hours. 1 Like |

matify83:Hello bro. Can you point me in the direction of the MPPT charge controller or post a picture here. Also, what's your submission about buying a 100ah or less battery if one is to use it majorly during the afternoons. I'm looking at getting them in bits for installation later. |
Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by matify83: 11:02am On Apr 21 |
GerogeI: Interesting! A PMW because of it's low efficiency will invariably reduce every voltage to about 12V averagely. So, 12 X 48A = 576W. The only thing saving this charge controller going up in flames is that it can never attain its maximum power generation. 576W is too much power to connect on the 12v system. The rating for a 60w PWM at 12V should be around 360W or less. You are tempting fate. |
Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by GerogeI(m): 11:22am On Apr 21 |
matify83:A 60A charge controller has power capacity of 60Ax12v=720W, 576W is well under the rated capacity, Moreover those 150 w panels, especially used one will average 3-5Aamps, that's 30A for 6 panels. 48A will be peak performance. Your concern is not genuine. The system is properly sized. The only complaint is that you cannot expand without replacing the charge controller. Secondly, if am running such a system (which I did for 3 years with 30A PWM controller and 3 x300w panels before upgrade), I will always favour more panels, above MPPT charge controllers. I only replaced my charge controller when my panels exceeded the capacity, then I had genuine reason to invest in a robust 5kw solar hybrid inverter, which I still run for daytime power only. |
