Why is it that it's only negative review of a company that makes FP?
To run a business in Naija is not easy.

Don't mind the lazy fools. These are mostly guys who have never started a business before.

No one is saying Anambra is not safe but as stated.
It’s Sunday and there would be mad rush.

I am asaba based and even me too would prefer to be dropped in Benin than Anambra on a Sunday.
You don't know what you are talking about. Benin to Asaba is 2 hours minimum and risky driving high speed in because of the way the road is curvy while umueri which has Anambra airport to Asaba is just 45 minutes with a personal car and the road is straight, you can experience traffic along Onitsha borromeo round about or upper iweki axis to the bridge. I missed driving just that I sold my car after I lost my job when gsk left Nigeria.

IT APPEARS YOU HAD NO SERIOUS NEED TO TRAVEL COS THIS UR STORY SOUNDS MORE LIKE CLOUT CHASING.

IF YOU WERE A SERIOUS TRAVELLER YOU WUD HAVE KNOWN THAT THERE'S ALWAYS LOW PATRONAGE TO ASABA, YOU POSSIBLY WUD HAVE BEEN THE ONLY PASSENGER GOING TO ASABA THAT DAY.

THE BEST WAS THEIR OFFER OF A SECURED ROAD TRANSPORT TO ASABA. BUT LIKE I SAID YOU OBVIOUSLY HAD NO SERIOUS NEED TO TRAVEL.

PLEASE LEAVE AIR TRAVEL FOR SERIOUS BUSINESS PEOPLE.

GAZZUZZ:
Booked an impromptu flight from Lagos to Asaba via United Nigeria to Asaba from Lagos . Booked the flight at 9:33am, it was a 1pm flight that cost ₦86,956.52. landing 2pm. Aim was to travel back same day .

Got to the airport at 11:30am. Checked email, no cancellation , so I walked up to the check in counter .

Flight AC75Z0

There is nothing logical about this post that appears to be your primary response.

Firstly, the airport in Anambra is about an hour to Asaba, every day and "twice on Sundays"
What made rush is the man referring to exactly? What is the relationship between this mad rush and getting to Asaba from the airport.

I think that you should remove some of your post, they weren't well thought out, perhaps motivated by social media misinformation; the location of the airport is secure; the distance from the airport to Asaba is not 3-4 hours.

If you prefer to be dropped off at Benin, say so. We don't need any reasons. The ones stated are false and certainly not logical.

Hope Arik air is also owned by an Igbo man? The bunch of tribalistic bigots here would only believe your story if it was so.

Gazzuzz, inasmuch as The Airline (United whatever) has to be called out for their incompetence, non-communication and lack of customer respect, I'll like to correct a little mixups with your experience.

Firstly the distance from Anambra Airport to Asaba is less than 1hour, you can verify this from daily commuters using commercial buses and passing old bridge.

Secondly the Airline uses it's own coaster buses to convey passengers from Anambra Airport to Asaba, if they don't have enough passengers for direct Asaba, I have been a victim before( Where they failed woefully is not informing you guys on time)

Least I forget, the airline coaster buses don't ply the old bridge, they use the new bridge and have armed escorts that sandwich the coaster bus(es). Pointing back to the distance of the journey, it is actually less than 1 hour from the Anambra airport to Asaba.

For the refund, hope you initiated the process at the counter and your ticket is a full refundable one.

General 2 cents: Not saying this is what happened bro, but try booking your flights yourself so all communication can get to you first hand.

Thank you for pointing out that error.

@gazzuzz. Pls edit your initial post. From the airport to Asaba is just under an hour.

By the way, the airline messed up big time. They should have given customers insight into their plans. This is pure fraudulent activity.

Most airlines have very little traffic on their weekend flights especially Sundays. Worst of all afternoon weekend flights, cos there are hardly any passengers. (Cc folake4u)

It could be that that had more Anambra passengers than Asaba so they just decided to drop all of you in Anambra, then convey you guys heading to Asaba in a bus.

But they should have just told you guys that they wouldn't be flying to Asaba. They can't expect to run a successful business this way.

Hmmmm. Thank you for mentioning me to this thread.

I've been seeing this airline for a while now, and bookmarked to try it.

I'd just stick to my Max Air and co.

See epistle justifying Transload grin.... Plenty grammer justifying lack of business transparency

Of course, you very nicely avoided the fact that the airline ought to have informed the op before collecting his money that they won't fly to his destination, thereby allowing him to choose whether to still patronise them or not.

But no, op is now the criminal while the innocent airline is being unjustly harassed angry

Don't you people have any shame?

What is painful is I received no notifications for flight cancelation, I would have remained at home and not wasted money heading to the airport .

There was also no option of a rescheduled flight for same day.

Today is Sunday, and there will be a mad rush to leave Anambra to beat the sit at home routine,

The location of the Anambra airport is on the outskirts of town and not secure .

Not ready to waste about 3-4hrs from Anambra airport to Asaba town.

.

Who told you all these lies

You deserved how they treated you because you're worst than a killer... who's rushing where on Sundays in Anambra?

How many times have they shown you busy Anambra state pictures on Mondays

I can't pay for a flight and they will be carrying me about in a bus. But if previously informed, I can consider it.

Did the airline inform the guy that they will land in Anambra and carry him by bus to Asaba?

The spirit of "Trans-load" that has infected all Luxurious Bus Transporters from that part of the country has also infected this airline owner..

"Transload" occurs when a transport company transfers passengers from their vehicle to another to finish a journey whose t-fare they had already collected in full.. . From the get-go, they know that they are not going to reach the desired destination, but due to their greed for the complete transport fare, they will collect it in full and then make only a part of the journey, and transfer the passengers to the cheapest junk they can find to complete the journey..

Travelling from point A to point B uninterrupted is alien to transporters from that side of the country.. To collect money dey sweet dem die, but to finish the task agreed na problem..

I won't be shocked that if op makes too much noise in their office about getting a refund, like 4 Agbero dey on ground to comot im teeth grin.. Na their standard modus operandi be that.. Refuse to complete a contract, and then have you beaten up when you complain

Yes. It makes it unsafe for travels. In fact, I know people who cancelled their trips to Ikogosi Resort because of the insecurity in Ekiti.

From Onitsha to Asaba is not up to 5 mins. Why didn't the Airline land in Asaba and put Anambra passengers on a bus?
