FEDERAL GOVERNMENT NOT CONSIDERING ANY FOREIGN MILITARY BASE

The Federal Government is aware of false alarms being raised in some quarters alleging discussions between the Federal Government of Nigeria and some foreign countries on the siting of foreign military bases in the country.

We urge the general public to totally disregard this falsehood.

The Federal Government is not in any such discussion with any foreign country. We have neither received nor are we considering any proposals from any country on the establishment of any foreign military bases in Nigeria.

The Nigerian government already enjoys foreign cooperation in tackling ongoing security challenges, and the President remains committed to deepening these partnerships, with the goal of achieving the national security objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

This minister of information is not active. Ajuri Ngelale is more active than him. If he cannot update the people about the programmes of the government, why is he receiving salaries?

I just pity Niger republic for thinking that replacing France and USA with Russia is the best thing to do

Better, Don't turn Nigeria to Libya because you guys are on seat of power. The damage they will cause will be by miles greater than the problems on ground.

Some shameless people were already clapping and hoping for Tinubu to make it happen

Like, you want USA and France to bring their military bases to Nigeria so that when USA and France weapons manufacturers and contractors are secretly arming gangs, bandits and terrorists in Nigeria then insecurity will rise and Nigeria government will be forced to start buying weapons officially from their government, all in all enriching the weapons manufacturers and contractors in USA and France.

Same resources that will have been used to provide electricity, road infrastructure, education and healthcare will be diverted to funding security.

Nigeria will simply be a theatre of war in less than a decade.
