The Federal Government of Nigeria is set to empower Women across the 36 states and FCT with P.O.S Machines to ensure ease of doing business as part of measures to enhance their socio-economic.

Making this disclosure, the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs, Barr Uju Kennedy retierated the Ministry's commitment to promote the wellbeing through the recently launched E-Market portal, designed as a one-stop-shop for women to showcase and market their goods and services and recieve direct payments.

According to her, "we had to integrate the free P.O.S machines into the E-Market initiative as this will help to improve their operations, provide flexible payment options, improve efficiency, fasttrack payment time, enhance customer relations and satisfaction among other benefits.

She added that the proposed operational improvements will improve turnover and customers will tend to place order for more supplies

The empowerment programme will cut across the country as each state and the FCT will receive 1,000 P.O.S machines for the Women.

In as much as this is a good idea, it's obviously Another means to embezzle more money. Buhari used feeding of pupils, this one is using contracts and wayo empowerment. I won't be surprised to hear "FG spent N400billion to acquire POS machines for (ghost) women" then buy inferior machines to only 10 persons in each state and televise them on the TV as achievement of Tinubu.

Why not give out business grants and loans to the SMEs? Who is crying for POS machine in Nigeria right now?

Who do us like this? Why are we leaving key important things to do unnecessary things as if we don't know what to do at all?

Imagine stupidity! POS is a plague that should be purged from the country. POS is an inter BDC market. You sell and buy naira through POS.
