I knew it. Some people will claim she is Ibo.

Same way they claimed this European winter hat as their tradition. Always claiming what is not theirs.

40% of people bearing that name are drug smugglers and baby factory workers, according to statsense. Terrible name.

Nothing can describe the love Nigeria has for her colonizer and enslaver. The love is too much.

This guy normally should have been stoned and chased out of the country for the atrocities his ancestors committed against us.

Your comment is too funny. It doesn't matter if your love or hate your colonizers. They have given you your independence and it's up to you to decide how to use it.
You could use it to elect a Tinubu and further destroy your country though.

Unlike most other countries on earth, there's absolutely nothing that Nigerians will agree on, not even national team football. There'll always be division along ethnoreligious lines.
Trust me, most countries don't agree on anything. Human beings are created like that

It's 100% independence. But it's up to you to choose to grow or to keep crying about 1914.
All our problems are local. Our connection with the UK is very minimal now. Our major trade partner is China.
So why should we continue to bear animosity towards them.

OP and punch reporter are the bigots that created a topic of one (1) tribal name when she three (3) was actually suggested.

Mo Abudu, the anchor and chief executive of EbonyLife media group, then asked the audience to suggest a Nigerian name for Meghan.

“Ifeoma,” someone shouted from the excited crowd, a name from Nigeria’s Igbo tribe which means ‘a treasured thing.’ “Omowale” another suggested, from the Yoruba tribe, which means ‘the child has come home.’ and Edidiong which means ‘blessing’.
Your hate for the Igbos will surely consume you .

She's Ifeoma and it's been stamped and sealed.

She's 43% Nigerian only, she's not Nigerian stop famzing us madam Meghan.

Even if she is Nigerian 100%, that would still not change anything here. We are who we are. The change starts from Nigerians themselves.

If you want to know the problem of the black man and why Nigeria is very unlikely to ever be a developed nation just read this thread and weep for the damage that has been done to the pysche of the black man.

Does that make any difference?. Even you are free to suggest your own name. Does that bring down the price of garri. Must all the tribes represent? Hausas and the rest of two hundred and something ethnic groups are also coming up with their own suggestion of name. Lol

Competition ... It was planned and planted

Competition among slaves for who is most worthy to receive the rejects and castoffs of the slave master.

The most repugnant slave is a slave who doesn’t know he is a slave.

This narrative is old. It’s not what the white man thinks of us or did to us that matters but what we think of ourselves and evidently we have no self respect or dignity. We have been “independent” for 64 years!!

Bit bitter bitterness.. no carry the hat go dash Europeans. Just like you people carry our collective wealth to go and deposit them in European banks while the Europeans use the same money to develop their country. This is the bane of Nigerian tribal people.
