WINNING EACH DAY DEVOTIONAL

2 Cor 2:14 And thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph...

THE GOOD FIGHT

August 10, 2013

MEMORY VERSE: 2 Kings 7:2 So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”

Every season is brought about as a result of spoken words. In 2 Kings 6, the Israelites were going through a season of hardship so terrible that they had begun eating their children ( 2 Kings 6:28-29). To end this, God spoke through His prophet, Elisha. This is why it is important that you are always alert to the Words spoken by men of God over you to be sure that you do not miss the Word sent to bring about a change in your season.

When God speaks, there is often no immediate physical manifestation which is why many are led to doubt. However, in the spiritual, the tides immediately begin to turn in your favour. The officer on whose hand the King leaned missed out on the new season of abundance because he did not understand this principle.

Regardless of how terrible your situation, God will bring you out of it as long as you do away with doubt. Hold on to every Word spoken to you by God. You might not have seen its physical manifestation immediately but things have already begun to turn around for your good.

When the God's Word is sent to deliver you from sickness, depression, addiction, poverty, barrenness etc, there is always another voice which reminds you of past failures and disappointments. It reminds you of times you have heard God's Word and nothing came of it.

It then becomes your responsibility to fight the good fight of faith (1 Tim 6:12) for a double minded man remains stagnant, receiving nothing from God (James 1:6:cool. To fight the good fight, you must establish the unseen realities of what God has said above your reasoning. When you do away with unbelief, faith takes over.

CONFESSION: It's a new season of joy and abundance for me. God's Word is my guide therefore I function in the realm of the supernatural without stress.

PRAYER: The unseen realities of God's Word are established in my heart in Jesus' name.
