If it was a Nigerian transaction..
It could have been sorted out by now.. Bcuz d banker must have done his call overs by now..
Since it was international transaction..
It won't have much weight..
Unless if your uncle goes to transfer more funds.. They will let him know of d transaction.
But if ur uncle sends u more money without any complaints..

My brother, transfer the remaining money into another bank that you operate with to avoid those little boys that works there using it.If they request for it ,then you transfer it back to GTBank.if they don't ,leave it in your other bank account for 2yrs before using it.

That extra money does not belong to the bank. It most certainly belonged to your uncle. Do the needful and inform your uncle about the extra cash. Am quite certain an error occurred when the agent transferred the money to you. It has happened to me before. I had to return the excess to my boss because he actually sensed the error when he transferred the money. |

It has happened to me 2 times before. Recieved payment from worldremit.com. They paid the double of the amount. I reported the bank said no error from there end. I kuku spent the money na. The following month I was debited the exact amount that I spent. |

Reading from your post you said may be the agent made a mistake?
The agent didn't made any mistake the mistake is from the bank it once actually happened to me via skye bank dom acct.
My advise go to the bank and inform the customer care services.
They did be happy you a good citizen.
Who knows they might give u a loan of more than 5M to appreciate you instead of all this uncomfy situation you put your self.
Imagine cos of the restriction you can't sleep well thinking they might be after you.
That's my advise although since is past a month the money has been forgotten.

At about this time last year, I was in exact same position. I got paid my salary and got a double of it. Knowing my working environment, I quickly reported to my supervisor and same day withdrew the excess and deposited in the company account. Before long the bank started calling me for the money that it was their system error that caused it and not my company testing my integrity as I had thought. So I spoke with my Company Accountant and got them to pay the money back to my account and the bank did the needful. Whatever you do in life, be careful not to spoil your future! |
