Emir Sunusi Apologizes To Ganduje - 5 Northern Governors Beg On His Behalf by FriendNG: 11:36pm On May 01, 2017 |
- How Northern Governors ended Emir, Kano govt. war. Top Governor Ganduje associate recommend his sacking. - Five Northern Governors persuade Ganduje to drop the idea after the Emir apologized for his conduct. - The Emir was behaving as if he was independent of the State Government whereas he is an appointee of the Government who is answerable to a Commissioner, not even to the Governor - Said Ganduje - Emir Sanusi accepted his “faults” after the five governors reminded him that he was an appointee of the governor and his palace was being funded with public funds approved by the Governor. After several days of relentless efforts to track down Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, five Northern Governors managed at the weekend to broker peace between the Kano State Government and Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II. The governor and the emir have been embroiled in a proxy war for many weeks, with the state government’s anti-corruption agency launching a probe of Kano Emirate Council finances in apparent retaliation for Emir Sanusi’s open criticism of the governor’s top project priorities. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/northern-govs-broker-peace-between-sanusi-ganduje/195620.html 1 Like

Lol this funny. I dont see why Emir Sanusi is apologizing it makes him look weak. I guess he didn't want to get removed like his grandfather. His daughters made it seem like he didn't care about throne. The northern Governors did well advising him not to depose him. This would only hurt him and the party politically. The best move is to continue probe and see what they can uncover. Then after that do probes on other traditional institutions. If they fire him with this pretense they win. If Sanusi is clean after probe he can talk more. He will just need to it in private. If he continues in public they might fire him at their own risk. Since Sanusi a deposed Sanusi can throw weight behind his rival. The three Northern Governors at the Abuja meeting were said to have strongly urged Ganduje to forgive the Emir in the interest of stability in Kano, which they said is the heartbeat of Northern Nigeria and also to protect and preserve the image of Northern Nigeria and of the ruling APC. They said any further escalation of the crisis will give room for opposition elements, particularly former President Goodluck Jonathan and his associates, to celebrate and to claim that they have been vindicated. Sources said Ganduje found it difficult to ignore his colleagues’ appeal partly because he might need their solidarity in battling his estranged godfather, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ahead of the 2019 general elections. Unless reconciliation is effected, Ganduje is expected to meet stiff opposition in his re-election bid from the powerful Kwankwasiyya movement both at the APC primaries and in the general election. 1 Like |

That's the difference between him and his predecessor. His predecessor built a royalty that he can summon a president not to talk of a state governor. His predecessor speak to politician in private and later the palace staff will call it a greeting. That so so governor come to pay homage to the king. But reverse is the case when you stand on the podium to belittle your boss (Governor) Blue3k: 13 Likes |

This is why the North will hardly make any meaningful sustainable development. They hate the truth&freedom of expression and thoughts. The northern elites fear freedom so much that they have chosen to enslave their people through religion and lack of proper education. Instead giving them hand outs to keep them in check. I Sincerely hope it doesn't have grave consequences in future! 28 Likes 5 Shares |

FriendNG: FriendNG: When he was a federal appointee as CBN governor, your almajiri ilk and your afonjastic yoruba muslims stated that Sanusi as both CBN Governor and a crown prince of the Kano emirate was untouchable despite the resounding proof presented by the FRCN on Sanusi's shenanigans as CBN governor. Well, I have always maintained that all Amirs and even your Sultan is a state government employee so Sanusi should bend to his employers 21 Likes 1 Share |

BlowBack: Shataap mumu. Who made him a crown Prince? If you want to lie, lie with class. Kano Emirates don't have crown Prince. If there should be any crown prince then it will be the late emir son not Sunusi. All blame should go to the ineffectual buffoon Jonathief who couldn't do anything about the allegations. So Jonathan refuses 2 touch Sunusi because of wat Yoruba or Hausa said? Do you think all of us are "Alade" like you. 15 Likes |

FriendNG: You must be one of those Nigeriens claiming Nigeria Sanusi's father was the Amir of Kano before he was removed and replaced by the late Ado Bayero! Emir Muahmmadu was the Emir of Kano from 1954-1963. He was the eldest son of Emir Abdullahi Bayero. He was a powerful Emir that had substantial influence in the colonial Northern Nigeria. He hosted the Queen Elizabeth II when she visited Kano in 1956. The power tussle between him and his distant cousin Ahmadu Bello the Sardauna of Sokoto is believed to have resulted in his dethronement and confinement in Azare 1963. Muhammadu Sanusi is the father of the current Amir Sanusi born to the large family of Abdullahi Bayero, Emir of Kano, among his brothers was future and now late Emir, Ado Bayero. The fact that you were able to bring Jonathan into your silly rants tells a lot about how frustrated you almajiri zombies have it these days. BlowBack: Haha haha. Sunusi's father was not and never the Amir of Kano Mr. I know all. It was Sunusi grandfather not his father. His father was never an emir for once in his life. Sunusi become the emir in the expense of 30 male children of the Late Emir Ado Bayero. He was not the child of an emir talkless of crown Prince. So shutup when you have no facts before hand. The fact that you were able to bring Jonathan into your silly rants tells a lot about how frustrated you almajiri zombies have it these days. You Alades are funny. Who brought about the issue of Sunusi as CBN governor? Who sack him? You Alades should channel your wailing to him 4 not making Sunusi to account 4 his actions but you're here blaming Hausa or Yoruba 4 jonathief failure. Hypocrite. 6 Likes |

FriendNG: **** The British colonial rule introduced laws that made the ascension of any Amir or even the Sultan to the throne to be subject to the approval of the then Governor-General. The constitution at independence which was drafted by the British also made the Sultanate and Emirates to be under the control of elected civilian administrators. When we told you goats that the office of Amir of Kano is no different than a local government care taker committee chairman at the sole discretion of the governor una been dey doubt. Come to the south and see real rulers who governors have no say in their enthronement. 16 Likes 1 Share |

FriendNG: One of the main reasons why Lugard with just 800 troops and two machine guns could overrun the entire northern caliphate was because the northern elite invited him to come and settle their constant bickering. There was always never anyone that was good to be Amir in the eyes of the northern elite. It was either he isn't from the right family descendant or he isn't a pious muslim or is too lax towards re-starting jihad. The likes of Kwankwaso told the late Ado Bayero that he will balkanize the Kano emirate (the largest in Northern Nigeria) and from there create several emirates within Kano if Ado Bayero does not stop his support for GEJ. Abacha not only sacked Sultan Dasuki but forced him to flee out of the country. Your emirates are all a joke as they are nothing but political appointee stools. If una like carry Sanusi to the Mosque on Friday and behead him that one nah una cup of tea 22 Likes 1 Share |

Alright since the Mumu Alade has finished searching Google to make Sunusi father an Amir but to know avail. He resorted to show of shame. Let me ignore him. At least I frustrated him with the facts. But at least for wise readers the late Emir of Kano does not reduce himself to politician level. The late emir of Kano single handedly overule the judgement of a sitting court in Abuja. FriendNG: Go and recite your koran and stop disgracing yourself here. Sanusi's official name is Muhammadu Sanusi II. His father was the Amir of Kano until he was dethroned in 1963 and his step brother then an ambassador to Senegal was turbaned as Amir of Kano. See how Sanusi continues to disgrace the respectable stool of the Kano emirate Council. If you cannot stand by what you said why say them knowing the nature of your position? Oh he forgot that this is not like coming out to say that 49 billion naira was missing from the federation account and when confronted with facts by Ngozi Okonjo Iweala he hugged her and apologized that he got his figures wrong. Only to come out few weeks later to change the figure to 10 billion. Continue saying things you cannot stand by. neocortex:For the Zone B neocortex calling me a Gullible fellow, here are sources of him making a U-turn http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/missing-49-8-billion-sanusi-makes-u-turn/ https://www.nairaland.com/1561797/over-alleged-missing-49.8bn-oil#20330953 9 Likes 1 Share |
