Hello nairalanders, please i want to purchase the mtn lumos solar power tomorrow but i am yet to know the pros and cons as regards the product and the business i want to use it for.

I run a business centre and i spend 1k daily on fueling which approximates about 30k a month.

I open by 7am and close by 8;20 pm

I use about 50 desktop(universal mobile phone) chargers.

About 40 direct phone chargers

And a dc fan to keep the worker cold.

And two lighting bulbs to be switched at night, 6;30 to 8:20 pm( time of closure)

Please i want to know if this is really an alternative to small generator.


The input rating of the desktop chargers is 100-220v 50/60hz 30ma

Pls can this lumos light up with these loads for atleast 10 hours a day?


When i close at night and reopen in the morning how do i start work since the power would have been exhausted the previous day.

Modes please help me out on this.

It is better to go for solar inverter, our solar generator uses sun to charge, u use NEPA and generator to charge too, the battery capacity is 8-12 hours, u can be using the inverter during the day from sun while charging with the sun. Then by evening the battery pick up when there is no sun.

Thats the point, i cant afford that amount, this is why i opted for mtn lumos, i will have to pay installmentally as subscription.

I only want to use it for charging of phones, i said about 100 mobile phones at a time.

Fact is mtn luminous can not serve u well , it's better u get a higher battery capacity solar, if u saying u can't afford high money, calculate what u will be spending in 5 months on fuel,engine oil ,cut rope, quack engineer , smoke, plug.noise and unrelability its bettrr u do capital spending now that will serve u at the long run, note I am not advertising any product to u, just advising

This is the avenue for people to cheat u ..Bros see what you need 150- 500 watts inverter small and portable then you buy battery bank the small size is around 15k then the big one should be around 25k it has charging circuit inside ..what u need to do connect your whole extension inside the inverter since your area there will be sun you can buy one small panel for 20k to 30k to charge the battery Incase the battery runs down ..I would advice u buy two batteries so that when one is charging the other is in use..call me on 09033365257
