@ Kabarka,

I must commend your dedication and willingness to assist so many people. You are one of the few guys with good intention to help others. If Nigeria is blessed with people like you (and a few others here) our country will surely thrive. WELL DONE.

I feel like offering to pay for the request I am making but I know you do it for free. Thanks again.

Could you please send me the price list of the items I'll need to start the business. I have a land which can be converted for the purpose. I have up to 2M Naira as well.
I will appreciate a detailed proposal and I do not mind appreciating your effort if you do not mind.

My e-mail is sharafa73@yahoo.com

BTW, where are you located?

Thanks.

Re: Pure Water Biz(Discuss) by madamL(f): 7:33pm On Oct 08, 2010
Hi friends, do you all realise that two or more people can partner and set up this biz? It really takes a lot of money to set up this business well and two people can pool resources to start. The business thrives on turnover and without a lot of sales, one won't get much out of it.

If you cannot muster enough resources alone, you can partner and buy enough machinery and vans to drive the much-needed turnover. Everyone that has ever done this biz will agree the whole thing is turnover-driven. If you make a net profit of N7 on a bag and you sell 50,000 bags a day, you'd like it but if your resources can only let you sell five hundred bags, then there won't be much chance of expansion and any little problem can totally halt the biz.

The truth is that many people make piles of money daily on this biz while many factories close weekly. Get adequate briefing before venturing and if you can, get enough funds or explore partnership.

Hello E.J,the sell of this book has been put on hold because more information is being added.selling resumes after that.

The new addition includes how to facilitate turnover as Madam L has rightly said.

The business thrives on turnover

And it is going to be protectively packaged.

Partnership is good but the issue of complementary role must be stressed.it is not just about money but skills that cannot be bought with money.

And to bear in mind that investments take time to mature,as a result you have to expect delayed gratification.

MADAM L DID WELL BY PROPOSING PARTNERSHIP DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS BUSINESS AS IT TENDENCIES FOR YOU TO POSTPONE STARTING. CAPITAL AND RESOURCES ARE DIFFICULT TO COMEBY AND NIGERIAN BANKS ARE NOT WILLING TO ASSIST STARTERS ESPECIALLY IN THIS BIZ LEAVING YOU WITH YOUR MEAGRE SAVINGS TO VENTURE INTO BIZ, AND GENERALLY THIS AMOUNT ISN'T ENOUGH TO START OR THERE'S NO TIME TO MANAGE THE OPERATION.

VENTURING WITH EACH OTHER OR PARTNERING WITH AN EXISTING PRODUCER WILL BE BEST SOLUTION TO GET OFF THE GROUND FOR NEW STARTERS. IF YOU GO WITH THE LATTER YOU HAVE THE BEST POSSIBILITY OF STANDING BETTER WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE TO OPERATE ON YOUR OWN. WHICHEVER, YOU CHOOSE WILL HELP YOU IN SHARING THE RISK AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO PUT ALL YOUR MEAGRE SAVINGS BUT A CONTRIBUTION FROM A COLLECTION OF LIKE MINDS.

THIS ARE JUST OUR HONEST CONTRIBUTION AS WE HAVE NOTICED LOTS OF NEW STARTERS ARE YET TO START DUE TO SO MANY NUMEROUS FACTORS FROM FUNDS TO TRUST. PLEASE, CONSIDER YOUR STANCE PROPERLY BEFORE YOUR FINAL DECISION - GOODLUCK

Sundid keep your phone on as I have been trying to get in touch.

Thank God some people managed to cough out enough money to set up. I am very happy about that.

For you new ones I have one tip: do not let anyone convince you to pay a fixed salary to workers, everyone must be on commission. That is the only way to ensure a good turnover. This way, the more money they make for you, the moore they get for themselves. I tried fixed pay and it didn't work but with pay based on productivity, I often have to call a halt since we are all interested in working more and earning more. Find out the going rate in your area per bag produced or sold.

yes,you are correct because COUNTING stirs up motivation.so workers tend to work more for more money.

But let us look at this scenario for the benefit of all esp new entrants

assuming in a particular town, water is officially fixed for #80 and some illegal producers and factories with low customer base are cutting price like say #70.my question
1,how will the commission be instituted in such price fluctuating market
2,won't a lot of money end up in workers pocket

pls let everyone contribute.
Re: Pure Water Biz(Discuss) by kabarka(m): 9:41am On Nov 13, 2010
ADVANTAGES OF PAYING YOUR WORKERS BASE ON PRODUCTIVITY.

*Serious minded workers will be attracted to you esp when you adopt sound maintenance culture.

* You have little to worry about for your worker will put in their best before letting you know there is a problem.

* Your marketers will be mentally alert-they monitor customers without being told.

* They come to work early and would not give in to sickness.

* Most importantly, everybody mind his or her own business.

* increased efficiency and less time for gossips

* Packers are motivated to work more, marketers target more customers.

* it is a WIN WIN Strategy.
