We’re a small online business that’s been using a message board like this one.

We built a tool for ourselves that you might find useful. It works by tracking keywords in forum and message board chatter and then notifies you when it’s relevant to your needs with a rating of how relevant or important it is. Presently we use it for networking and prospecting for leads however we know it’s broadly applicable and would like to help make it useful for other people.

So far we’ve considered tooling it to track famous accounts or members that you enjoy to stay up to date on what they are saying. Or for giving you exposure to threads you’d be interested in that you wouldn’t have checked. For companies, they could use it to monitor when their brand or product is being discussed or find leads for business development or sales based on keywords being mentioned.
