Lol grin @ chaos is fun and dramatic. No sweetheart, chaos is unsettling and destabilising, it's like being in a scattered, chaotic, messy, house or environment. I can't think straight![

So you don't like to witness vawulence and things burning up? grin grin Ya not a real comrade.

I don't mind cruise chaos sha. But the really violent and devastating one, nope. Expressions and emotions are fine so long as they are not destructive and are healthy... so I get you that it can be quite toxic and "head-blocking".

I haven't been on Twitter today but the on-going savagery I've seen here (NL) alone, on the Queen's death is disheartening and demoralizing. We don't have to verbalize every thought and what's becoming of our humanity these days? Social media seems to bring out the worse in us.

Yup. Like it literally just enables and magnifies and does everything to our already in are tendencies. The likes, the shares, the engagements, the constant focus of self, etc.

I'm smiling @ your plans for the day, na correct Soddom and Gomorrah things. But me and you know sey, you no get liver for that kind thing na just mouth you get. Farfalla is not even Nigerian.

See finish na. cry

You even think say na mouth I dey make. You won't even let me bluff in peace.

Oh, wow. She's not? Cool.

Because chaos is fun and dramatic cheesy. Humans are actually messy, for real. So much messier than we would care to admit. Go on Twitter and see savage takes about the Queen dying. Some are even saying they are waiting for Jeff Bezos to die and they will wear Ankara, eat semo and everything, lol.

Asinn, ehn. I thank God o. grin grin. What if somehow, somehow, I had chosen a federal university? Lol.

I plan to go to a strip club later in the day sha, and to get down with some bottles of alcohol tongue. So Farfalla isn't in Naija? Ehenn? Mi o mo o.

Wo, chaos isn't fun. It's just like people saying they prefer a dramatic partner to spice up relationships. undecided
Abeg abeg. Why can't two people be peaceful? I hate drama and will walk away super fast when someone is trying to throw tantrums.

Everyone wants to give hot takes on Lizzy baby's death. I'm sha indifferent.

Lol. Thank God it's a private school you're attending. ASUU people are just being unkind to the plight of Nigerian students.
God forbid!

Strip club bawo? Interesting. grin

Loool Farfàlla isn't Nigerian na. Are you just knowing?

Hello "pinkpillers", I'm so sorry but I just thought to bring this here.

I woke up to my lips looking dark as fvck on Sunday morning. I've been confused as hell and I'm almost losing my mind because I already struggle with my general look.

If anyone here has ever experienced this sort of thing or knows anyone who has, please help me with information. I have Googled but nothing I have seen makes any sense to me. I'm just confused. This is so strange.

The first picture is how my lips have always looked and the second is how they look now.

That wasn't a rhetorical question, hell yes, I really want to.

Well, you always have this way of making me reveal stuff I'd rather keep out of Nairaland. cheesy CIA material.

What do I do for fun and relaxation?
Cure konji..!! That's the first thing that comes to mind. grin (You asked...!!)

Let me just say, fun to me doesn't necessarily involve a crowd or anything like that. Never been a crowd person. Never been a party animal, not even when I was Folàké's age. cheesy

I do go to the gym on some weekends whenever possible (such as tomorrow). Not fun at all at all. Not relaxing either but I sure do get a good night sleep later that day.

I am a very introverted individual surrounded by extroverted somebodies who prefer the outdoors so sometimes they pester me into accompanying them to explore different places and I do it for them, out of love and obligation.

Klass99:

Lol grin, are we not too loud and obnoxious for your taste?

Loud? You mean expressive? grin
Hypocritical and obnoxious people are everywhere Klass including where I am currently located.
I admire Nigerian women because they set certain financial standards for men. Why do you think they claim other African women are "humble"? grin It's because their standards in men are much lower. Non-Nigerian women believe so much in love and romance, and learn very late that love doesn't conquer anything.

Nigerian women learn very early what other African women learn at 38. grin

Your lips look great to me in the first photo, the second photo looks different and darker but still normal to my eyes.

It could be a reaction to some product you are using or hormonal changes in your body, but I'm just speculating. I've never experienced this so I don't know.

Thank you very much. The first photo is my "normal lips". My friend also suggested it could b as a result of hormonal changes.
Thank you so much for responding.

Hehehehehe. Even at my age, I'm not really a party person. I like hanging out with friends normally, but not parties. I rather just sleep. undecided
But after I finished my exams in NLS, and our DG threw a farewell cocktail, of course I had to unwind. cheesy

Hmmm @the second paragraph. That is very deep. Can you explain further?

I saw that photo and immediately thought of my former co-worker Cynthia and wondered if it was her because you both have the same kind of lips.

Cynthia is a dark and lovely chic. Which was my impression of you at the first glance of that picture. I didn't see all of you, but what was revealed looked good.

If it's any consolation to you almost every woman struggles with their general look or insecurities about something. It's either height, boobs, arse, or nose and lips, it could be too much of one thing and not enough of another thing. So don't stress, you are not alone in that area. You're welcome.
Thank you again. Means so much.

Hmm. That's odd.

Try using a sugar scrub and see if the colour is going to lighten.
(Granulated sugar+honey/olive oil), use a toothbrush and brush gently. Try and do it for 3days.

Hmmm @the second paragraph. That is very deep. Can you explain further?

A 20-year old Nigerian girl is already attracted to men who can give her material stuff. She will probably not pursue Telemundo love at the expense of wealth/comfort. Whatever gift she receives from a man serves as an index of his love for her.
- 2K recharge = man likes me
- An expensive phone = man loves me
- A big car = man loves me very much
- A trip to Accra = man loves me
- A trip to Maldives = man loves me very much
- Residential property in Lekki = man is my soulmate

Naija girls know who to pick and who to avoid very early in life because they have this dire need to glitter and glitter they will. I guess it's what the other gender refer to as entitlement mentality. grin

But you see the rest of us? Zimbabwéans, Ugandáns, Kényans, Maláwians, Tánzanians (mumu of them all), SÁ, Congolése, Rwandése, Éthiopians, Mozambiçans, Zambîans? We are generally hopeless. A yeye man, let's call him 'Ken', will come with very sweet words and the girls of these countries will fall for him. All he needs to do is hold her waist like one Alejandro or Eduardo in Telemundo, look into her eyes, tell her sweet nothings, kiss her sensitive spots and seal it with mind-blowing sex. That's it. A new pair of "soulmates" are unleashed into the world. No iPhone, no 2K recharge, no trips to exotic locations. Just pure love, devoid of materialism.

As time goes by, reality sets in (at 31) and she finds herself in either of these two situations;
1. Ken is now her husband and she, the breadwinner of her family. They cannot chop love. Ken is now very comfortable being a kept man while she's busy forwarding his unsellable CV to her acquaintances.
2. Ken somehow managed to put himself together in the course of their courtship, acquired some finances, but married some other lady he's "compatible" with. The universe never rewarded her for foregoing materialism, rather, it rewarded the lady who wanted the glitter and went for it.

Either way it suddenly hits the lady that Telemundo romance isn't reality and that financial stability in a man is a crucial aspect in relationships/marriage, despite the demonisation of gold-diggers. However, she's acquired this new-found knowledge at 32, while a Nigerian girl already knew this at 22. cheesy

Did you recently change your lip balm?
Or your face wash/soap?
Or your facial moisturiser?
Or your sunscreen?

Maybe you're reacting to a new product.
