As someone who believes in the Federal Republic, a believer in strong and prosperous Nigeria, I really wish that Nigerians make mistake by 2023. I have spoken to citizens from all over the country and while we certainly agree that some candidates are better than the others, some have chosen to pitch their tents in a particular way for tribal and somewhat egoistic reasons to the detriment of the greater Nigerians.

But I’m really happy, Nigerians made mistakes with Buhari in 2015, today a greater population of Nigerians are now liberated from that ethnic shenanigan, from that parochialism and they can see things clearly but a large chunk of the people are yet to be liberated and like diamonds go through hell before it is made so is Nigeria going through hell, the number of wrong voting in 2023 would only show how far we need to go to liberate our populations.

The worst part of joining the wrong side is that you are not prepared for failure, as at 2015, we told them, 2019 we told them, it is becoming glaringly that the numbers on the side of the right thinkers while improving still needs greater improvement. Funny enough nearly everyone thought that with Buhari that people from a particular part of the country would suffer however there’s suffering all round and I think those who were accurate in joining the right side are still accurate in managing the calamity better.

2023 hopefully would see us alive and getting to see how it play out but certainly I will be all smile especially if Nigerians made a huge mistake. I’m not a pure critic of Buhari, I appreciate his infrastructure impacts especially regarding the second Niger bridges and upgrades of the runway of the Enugu airport but he’s the commander in chief not the infrastructure in chief and so far as he could not guarantee the security of lives of Nigerians, he is a disappointment in my book. The most important thing is liberating Nigeria and it would happen, either we get it right or we go through hell until we get it right but what about the price we have to pay?

You said worse in 2015 and 2019 and this year your only achievement is that you were able to eat rice without chicken on Christmas Day and on Salah day you couldn’t afford ram, that doesn’t look like Nigerian dream, make mistakes or vote wisely

You want over 200 million Nigerians to continue suffering and dieing on daily basis because of mistakes of few?

It is not mistake of few it is mistake of majority, the dangers of democracy is that once the idiots becomes the majority then things get out of hand, 2023 would prove a point. If you are talking about inducement, giving a loaf of bread and seizing the bakery for 4 to 8 years, does it make sense, unless then manipulation, but can’t such manipulation be resisted, the answer is in how much suffering the masses is able to endure.

Well Nigerians want to test first, the danger won’t even really be in the Islamic radicals but the minority Christians in middle belt who may resort to self defense and possible counter ethnic and religious cleansing, certainly not going to be smooth lots of psych have been impaired.

You can't really say it's a mistake. Democracy doesn't really give us the best. It only present us with the most popular candidate.
Only a high educated populace are able to discern who amongst the candidate is the best.
But the level of education in Nigeria is still sub par. Most especially in the north. That is why we keep recycling old people that have nothing to offer.
You see it's a very delicate issue. This same mistake will still make us to choose another bad leader. We still can't see past tribalism, favoritism, nepotism and religion in this country
Nairaland is a good example. You can see the arguments and banter over trivial issues.

It is true that education is very important in a population but suffering is also huge factor, the rest of situation with unbiased view is certainly a recipe for Chaos, we have seen the impact of Buhari’s economic deftness, we are yet to ever experienced a Muslim/Muslim ticket, if it happens objectively it would be a great yet dangerous experiment that ought not to be tested in a live medium.

Nigeria is notorious for going all out and testing anything in live environment, that’s how we tested war, we tested coup, there ought to be a war game, a Muslim Muslim game (simulation) conducted by our armed forces or specialized intelligence unit or a political arm, this is a dangerous experiment from an objective angle.

One thing you failed to understand is that one can't predict the future.
Majority of people that died in this era of buhari never voted for him yet they paid the price of buhari's failure with their lives.
I want a better future for my kids.
Please we must get it right this time around

He is saying you can't stop foolish people from acting foolishly and you shouldn't be surprised when the consequences of the foolishness materialized because it's only through the consequences of their foolishness can they only learn since they are not educated enough to learn by inference except by experience..

I would have said you're mean but I share your sentiment. Remembered 2015 when I was in Abuja at my work place around Mabushi, who authorise to speak against the candidacy of Buhari? The clamouring with ethnic colouration was glaring to the blind. Those from the East must be dealt with was the echoe and slogan in our office then, even among colleagues. I kept on telling Damilare my partner then, that one thing I know about Igbos is that the always have a way to survive, instead of suffering it, they will milk profit from us all either legally or illegally but just know that that tribe won't suffer.

They accused me of so many things, I ignore them but fast forward to 2019 "Dami how far nah, shei Buhari dey handle security and Osibobo dey on economy ni?". Dami finally revealed that it was because he hated anything Igbos that lead him to clamour for Buhari presidency. I was not shocked but was disappointed that a graduate who was underemployed was reasoning in such manner.

The tide is happening again. I will vote Obi but if he loses, I will be gladen because an Igbo proverb says "Obodo adighi nma bu uru ndi nze". If you like hike the tax, close borders, buy dogs worth 50 million each..Igbo will find a way to survive, ice it with their pepper them attitude, while others will be at the receiving end of it all and cursing.

When you make a child a dissident what do you expect from him?
