Kwara SA Education, Dr Adetola Ariyike Salau Joins AGILE Project Implementation Support Mission In Abuja


In a significant stride towards advancing educational empowerment, Dr. Adetola Ariyike Salau, the Special Adviser on Education to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, participated in the Adolescent Girls Initiative For Learning And Empowerment (AGILE) Project Implementation Support Mission held in Abuja on Thursday, March 7th, 2024.

It would be recalled that Dr. Salau was appointed by HE Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as the Focal Lead for the AGILE Project in Kwara State.

The AGILE Project, spearheaded by the Federal Ministry of Education in collaboration with The World Bank, aims to foster the education and empowerment of adolescent girls. Scheduled from March 6th to 27th, 2024, the initiative seeks to uplift the educational landscape and socio-economic prospects of young girls across Nigeria.

During the event, Dr. Salau engaged with key stakeholders, including the National AGILE Project Coordinator, Dr. Amina Haruna from the Federal Ministry of Education, and Mrs. Aisha Garba, the Team Task Leader representing the World Bank Office in Abuja. These discussions underscored the collaborative efforts between governmental and international entities to drive educational development.

Furthermore, Dr. Salau convened with the Kwara State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) team, aligning strategies and fostering synergy with other state SPIU teams involved in the AGILE Project. This collective endeavor emphasizes the commitment of Kwara State and its counterparts to ensure the successful execution of the AGILE initiative.

Dr. Adetola Ariyike Salau's active participation in the AGILE Project Implementation Support Mission highlights Kwara State's dedication to promoting education and empowering adolescent girls, thereby contributing to the broader socio-economic advancement of Nigeria.
