I JUST THINK WAEC SHOULD MARK EXAMS BASED ON JAMB SCORES BECAUSE THESE KIDS ARE SOO DUMB THAT THEY FAIL JAMB BUT YET HAVE STRAIGHTA's IN WAEC DUE TO MALPRACTICE..

Nothing related to social media. Secondary schools and waec are too corrupt. Simple.

These current crop of children are lazy and daft upstairs... Their attention span is very low... I do teach in a school in fact they are all average upstairs imagine a class of 10 students and only one can boast of A the rest are C and below blockheaded children they only dream about booobs and yanssh

God will bless... Millenials and Gen X are the worst set of parents ever to exist in the universe they spend their entire life away from children spending their time at work and parties... Leaving their children with phone...my sister' children once they return from school will press phone from afternoon till night and sleep... What kind of useless and dead brain children are they raising... I have given up on this generation just like I gave up mine... Bunch of useless gen z and gen alphas only care about content... U see a 13 year old child already creating GRWM content... What rubbish and the parents are aware of this... The useless millenial parents are busy discussing wizkid davido publicity stunt what a stupid generation

Only 400 thousand out of 1.8 million? Nigeria of this generation is breeding dullards

No, I think the system is beginning to work. There is no more rampant expos/runs as it used to be when people who could not properly spell/write their names scored 300+, denying more qualified candidates who wrote exams solely with their abilities admissions to choice programs of study.

What do you expect when you keep lowering the cut off mark?

Imagine cut off mark is 140, why stress yourself to get 200 and above when you can just go there and score 100-140?

I don't think you understand the system. Scoring 140 does not guarantee you automatic admission. In fact students with such scores are hardly ever admitted to an higher institution, except those mushroom private higher institutions, where they will pay excessive school fees.

Without any supervision, she switches off her data from 9am till 6pm everyday so she can read. Cos she knew d negative effect of the social media in her life and she is more matured now

That's not the major concern here.

You should rather talk about the level of lackadaisical attitude of students these days.
Most of these students who wrote JAMB made about 5 A's in WAEC. Why?
They were all assisted.

Let's everyone become Emanuella and make it in life. We don't reward brilliant kids, why should anyone take studies too seriously? Even if they want to, are we asking parents who are almost died trying to pay school fees, WAEC fees and UTME fee to still find coaching centre money by force?
Dear current Nigerian leaders, look into the mirror and ask what Nigerians did to deserve this.

Good. Now, Government should remodel our polytechnics as technical training institutes for certificated courses like modern welding technology, construction designs and carpentry, automotive repairs and product management. And Government should fund the training institutes heavily. These courses can take our young population to Europe and Dubai to make money. We should forego empty paper qualifications and only professional courses like Medicine, law, pharmacy etc. should be taken at government universities. Trust me, we will say bye bye to graduate unemployment in 10 years to come.
that is exactly what polytechnics are meant for but the polytechnics themselves have long long focus of that.

What is the pride of this failure.?

This your advice is golden.
I also think JAMB should be the only gateway exam in the year for students.
Other exam bodies can be made use of for such Polytechnics programs as you highlighted

As bad as this seem, it's good , youth are walking away from book based to knowledge based at the end, they will still back at the street to make end meet when no job after graduation, we need basic education to thrive and survive, it's better they learn digital skill to help em and have lower score in jamb that have 400 score and got ₦10k award. The era of teaching rubbish of 1960 curriculum has gone. University offer nothing but waste of time as it doesn't reach the current economic reality

Seek knowledge to survive not jamb score that will return you back to the steet after God know how many years

And who do you blame for this mass failure? JAMB of course. When WAEC and Neco placed emphasis on C grade being the acceptable minimum pass mark, JAMB has to lower it's cutoff mark to 140 out of 400. This represents 35% why is F9 in WAEC and NECO.

So Ishaq, the JAMB Registrar is killing the system in the name of reforms but the government is not interested since he is making returns to government coffer

This is what you get when you turned an examination body meant for processing students admission into the university to a revenue generator. Next year, Jamb will generate 20billion naira for fg, they say "education is the right of all children", but that is not true.

Shut up if you can't say something reasonable.

Today kids are the most brilliant, Top scorers recording 365 and below was never seen in the history of jamb... during your own so called days, you people struggle to get ordinary 250.

So shut the hell u^
