Lol. There is nothing fraudulent about those charges. You may feel they are excessive and unfair...that doesnt make them fraudulent. Also, I hope you really don't think that is how the banks get wealthy? The banks get wealthy by investing your money, playing with forex, etc.

Okay let me share my experience using Zenith bank for many years now.

When you do a single transaction using Zenith bank, they will send you three different SMS on a single transaction. Each SMS cost N4 to be deducted from your account at the end of the month. Imagine someone doing multiple transaction on a daily basis and you think that is not a planned fraud.

Do you understand what fraud means? It is not fraud if it is not deceptive - the cost of sending SMSs is a known thing so it is simply a cost of doing business. Now if you send an SMS from your phone to another person, is it not the same 4 naira you will pay? So in your mind, the bank doesn't incur a cost when they send those SMSs? When did the banks turn into telecommunications companies?

And how much is the 4 naira you are even ranting over. Haba - even if you make 100 transactions, that is a mere N1,200 a month. Is it bad for the bank to cover it's own costs of doing business??

You seem not to get my point. Access bank sums their charges and sends you a single SMS for a transaction. How will you explain a situation where a bank will charge you for two ATM cards on a single account, same Zenith bank in case you want to know. Cards that have been deactivated for a long time. Is it that their system is not showing that those cards are not active? Thought you were smart enough to understand my point rather you said I am ranting over pennies.

I do not blame your thought pattern Sir. There is nothing like accountability in this country.

Mister man I adderessed the points you raised. If you don't know how to express yourself at your age don't waste others' time. I use the same Zenith and only have issues with their unstable network. But since Access is better for you, simply use Access. Cheers.

You can make your point without resorting to insults, many people on this thread raised this same issue of outrageous and unexplainable

charges and deductions from commercial banks . So do not think your opinion on this issue counts.

Have a nice day.

This is the problem with Nigerians. We were having a nice civil discussion until you decide to be rude. I matched your tone and now you are upset. Do unto others as you wish others to do unto you.

An equally nice day to you

I abandoned my GT and FCMB accounts for close to two years now because of the charges and deductions I can not explain. Someone recently sent money to my FCMB because she couldn't find opay using ussd, before the money even dropped it had reduced. I saw RECRY Q1 card maintenance fee, RECRY Q2 card maintenance fee and what and what not, .. the money reduced annoyingly. I don't even use their cards. These traditional banks make customer service very difficult and still complain when people run away.

You people better not tamper with our mobile banks that have made "I don send am, I never see am, wait small" a story of the past.

Haaahaahaa! Very funny but right on point. You cracked me up. Chai

Same thing here.

My GT ị have abandoned that and now use Opay and Palmpay even as much as 10million and more.

These commercial banks in combination with CBN trying to go against these more reliable fintechs.

The CBN earlier barred some MFBs, Opay, Moniepoint, Kuda From Registering New Customers

OPay has now clarified the new CBN directive......

OPay
Some evil commercial banks wants to spoil our kuda and opay for us they won't succeed and let me say am highly disappointed in fidelity bank PLC why would you people remove opay kuda from your transfer bank ussd list, I can't transfer from my fidelity account to opay or kuda imagine the stress of having to transfer it to moniepoint first then back to kuda, fidelity bank be careful we are watching you.

Oga, you said April 2nd 2023, but the receipt showed December 2nd 2023, so which one is it?
Sorry, I mistook it for the POS declined transaction I had with FCMB debit card until I went to their Bank when I was chanced and it was resolved after many months. I quickly typed without checking the date on the slip in order to post it on this Opay trade so as to get advice from people particularly on how to get there physical address but the various suggestions I've gotten here can assist anyway. It was when someone here accused me of marketing for other Banks that I searched for the payment slip and realised it happened in December. When I have transaction declined issues like this, with my evidence I can always get my money back when I'm chanced no matter how long.

After login into the app, go to select "cards" select physical cards. Once there, select manage dispute. Trace the transaction you did, click on dispute. It will be on review 7 working days, most atimes it might not take such long period of days. Always insure to check the progress report from the day you submitted to final status.

Second method, click on your transaction history, select the specific date and month of the transaction, click on submit dispute there. Wait for reversal after investigation, if it shows decline then the money has left your account, visit the nearest opay office for a log code and give to the fueling station to contact their financial agents or customer service for a refund.
I have followed your first instruction and I hope it gets resolved within 7 days. This will help me know if to hold the petrol station that has been telling me to go to my bank; or if the failed transaction was the fault of Opay which means they have to refund the N7,000. I never knew of this dispute management before now. Thank you all for offering helpful assistance.

You are welcome. Do well to check the progress report as usual.

The money has left your account then, visit a nearby opay office for a log code, once issued visit the fueling station, the should help trace the transaction and ask for a refund from the merchant customer service.

One of the reasons that made me come here on Nairaland is because l don't know any of their physical office in Abuja. But as I browsed now, I got this address: The OPay Abuja Office is located at Uyk Hexahub Plaza, Balanga Cresent, Off Uke Street, By Bolton White Hotel, Opposite Hawthrone Suites, Garki 11, Abuja, FCT.
I hope it's real so I can visit there one day.
Please, my second question is: UBA is the issuer of the POS based on the print out. Can I verify from UBA that the money left my Opay account and was paid to the petrol station?

Visit the opay office first. A log code will be issued to you. Then proceed to the fueling station.
