God is indeed Love. However, God said His love belongs only to those who obey His teachings and commandments — His Law. It is only to those who love him — those who obey His Law — that He promised His Love. undecided
9 “So remember that the Lord your God is the only God, and you can trust him! He keeps his agreement. He shows his love and kindness to all people who love him and obey his commands. He continues to show his love and kindness through a thousand generations,
10 but the Lord punishes people who hate him. He will destroy them. He will not be slow to punish those who hate him.
11 So you must be careful to obey the commands, laws, and rules that I give you today.
12 “If you listen to these laws, and if you are careful to obey them, the Lord your God will keep his agreement of love with you. He promised this to your ancestors.
13 He will love you and bless you. He will make your nation grow. He will bless your children. He will bless your fields with good crops and will give you grain, new wine, and oil. He will bless your cows with calves and your sheep with lambs. You will have all these blessings in the land that he promised your ancestors to give you. - Deuteronomy 7 vs 9-13
So, it is in error that you conclude that because God is Love, therefore he must show said Love to all mankind. That claim is born of the arrogance of men. undecided

The same is true in Jesus Christ. The love of Jesus Christ is only available to those who love Him - John 15 vs 9 - 15. undecided

The love God has for Jacob is far greater as in beyond compare to that which He has for Esau so the only Hebrew rendition could be "HATE" both are from the same parents and God love Jacob so much due to Jacob's love for the heritage God promised his grandfather (Abraham)
Esau despises that heritage while Jacob on the other hand treasure it with all his heart so it's like seeing someone who already had the quality you're looking for in sincere and honest hearted worshipers! Deuteronomy 6:5 compare to Mark 12:30

You should research Amalek, the prime son of Esau. The reason anyone can open a thread like this is that they do not know who Esau is. Esau has hidden himself.

Ask your pastors to teach you about Esau. Did the Bible say he was wiped off? If there is Israel somewhere, there is Esau somewhere too

Lamentations 4:19-22
19 Our persecutors are swifter than the eagles of the heaven: they pursued us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.

20 The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the LORD, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the heathen.

21 Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.

22 The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: he will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will discover thy sins.

Esau and his children where not favourable to God..They represented the other side of God...just like Enlil and Enki. Enki his son's and daughters represented the right side while Enlil and his sons and daughters(That is the baals and asherahs) represented the left hand side of God. But later on, they both gave their attributes to Marduk.

Hate in some context means to love less than the other

Jacob loved Rachel and hated Leah (He loved Leah less than Rachel)

Jehovah hated Esau and loved Jacob (He loved Esau less than Jacob)

Jesus said that his followers must hate his relatives and love him to be worthy of him (they must love relatives less than Jesus)

u r a hypocrite, aren't you, when i am not interested in something you say i am running away:

Mat 23:15  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.

if you ever make a convert, it is going to be a real child of hell, isn't it

lost false jw aemmy

you false jw's are just full of false accusing and lies

i show up those who claim to be God's people and are not, but are liars and blasphemers etc.
that's what i do oh false accuser and liar like the devil, and like other false jw's:

Rev_12:10  Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.

Joh 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, that is his natural way of speaking, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

who would be envious of satan's mob, talk about deluded false jw's

if i did hate, at least it would be against satan and his mob, oh dummy

Because he's got fair hairy skin. Lol. This is me trying to be funny grin

I don't think God hate Esau thou. Besides, Since Jesus was a black man with woolen hair, it could be that since God wanted to come through the skin of the first man, considering the first man was a black man who birthed the other humans..Thus he was always picking the black skin since his coming was to depict the first man and redeem the world. That being said, the blacks have to take back their places because they've always been interesting. The Yoruba ancestors did a lot of wonderful things such as, several creative arts, the Ifa technology which birthed computer knowledge, vigesimal, ancient pavement road etc. The old black Egyptians also did some lovely things, even as the old Greeks stated that the old Egyptians were blacks 📌.

You are a joker for referring me to a Pastor. You can't express opinions without insults?
We know where Israel is today, but as for Easu, they are GONE!
