that was not the original plan of the road,if you visit that area you will notice that people have refused to put infrastructure on the original route, the one that affects landmark beach is a new plan altogether.

The pictures show more businesses - set to be demolished - on the 'original route' than on the 'landmark' route.

So why should Landmark be favoured over them?

MrGerald:
You just rushed to quote the part that favors you, didn't you get it that they altered the plan after he knew about the road project that the road should run behind it? The contractors should just build it flyover along that beach line to maintain the area

Flyover?

Bro, do you know that whole beach area is EKO ATLANTIC PHASE 2 territory?

They've even started sand-filling the place!

That dude had no business setting up any long-term business there.

Even without the road being built, he would still have to clear from that place.

US has the right to demolish personal property for govt infrastructure in a process called Eminent Domain
In US your schools get funded mainly by the property taxes paid by the home owners. The higher your property value, the more funding your school gets
The cost for you to get a Degree in Nigerian university and compare it to what your Canadian friends spent on their same degree and wonder if its not Nigerian govt subsidizing it

Why didn't you compare the standard of education in Canada and Nigeria, why didn't you compare the standard of living for both too?
Who told its only property tax, what happened to proper work tax and GSTs?
And you forgot to mention how USA or Canada demolishes property they approved for you just less than 10yrs ago. Nigerians and defending rubbish shaa, we deserves our leaders

These people should lie with conscience!

This country is a joke. And the funniest part is that some set of people will be happy with all these demolitions, thinking they're doing a certain tribe, not knowing they're doing themselve. Go on twitter, you'll see some people cheering that misplaced priority of a project, saying Igbos should go to their region and invest, they don't want Igbos investment in Lagos bla, bla, bla. But what they don't know is that other investors who are not Igbos are also watching and taking notes.

I just they laugh those people because by the time they realise what they doing to themselves, I'll be like when Zimbabweans began chasing white people and their investments out of their lands in the 1980's thinking they were doing the oyinbos, only for the country to suffer from one of the worst economic crisis known to mankind a few years later grin

Lastly as a SS babe, this is for those of you saying "God bless people of SS & SW", deceiving yourselves, if Nigerian divides today and for some reason, SS are not able to get their own country, We would rather go with the Igbos than join ourselves with the same corrupt people that have been responsible for our sufferings and the sufferings of Nigeria at large since 1960. Make una continue to dey deceive unaselves, we know our true friends and know our true enemies.

Shalom ✌️
God almighty will continue to bless you more and more for this your wonderful comment.

The first time I watched this guy without seeing his name, I thought he was an Igbo guy by his look, head shape and full wholly hair. I've observed Yoruba that look like Igbo people reason and behave just like Igbo people. Even agabadox know this fact, why they also attack them and deny them from voting in the last election. I truly believe if you test the DNA of these real Yorubas/Omulabis, you will find out that they are more related to Igbo and share nothing with Agbadox, who invaded Yorubaland from from Dahomey and Togo. They don't even look alike. Omulabis need to investigate this.

A Yoruba man speaks and they still mention an Igbo man

These people are something else

All of you will suffer it. Lagos has been existing and flourishing when all of your lands are villages.

Louis Philip Ojukwu the father of Emeka Ojukwu left Nnewi with nothing and became very rich in Lagos. Most of you are economic immigrants in Lagos.

As for the unknown boy called Tayo Aina is suffering from Juvenile delinquency. He doesn't know anything. He shouldn't return to Lagos again.

If Atlantic Ocean had submerged VI, Lekki and Ajah will anobody be talking about Landmark today? Is Landmark the only property affected in that place? Some people fought battles and invested heavily to salvage VI, Lekki and Ajah to make it attractive today.

He is a small boy. He will regret that statement later in life.

Igbo is already a rich tribe. All they have to do is to pressure their governors to focus more on infrastructural development in the region. They (Igbos) will start relocating their businesses to SE. They will push for seaports too. In the next five years, Lagos will be shadow of herself. Igbos have all it takes to develop the region even without the help of the government. Am happy the way Lagos government is dealing with them. At least they will start thinking home .

Did he just go there and started building, didn't he get approved? The only thing there is that when fg need your property for development or whatever reason, be it your ancestral home in the village they'll collect it from you

He's very shallow for that comment. Obviously, he is shortsighted and can't see the bigger picture.

The coastal road will bring in way more tourism than just one business. Imagine how many coastal businesses will spring up along the whole coast including international standard hotels and other investments.
funny of you to think that road will be completed in the next 50 years time. Y'all don't see that this is just another money laundering scheme by government? Plus I don't think anyone will leave his country and travel to Nigeria just to see a coastal road😒

Just because your Gbajue warlord was unable to get anything accomplished in his 8 years in office doesn't mean that Tinubu cannot get it done. So far, he has a record of starting innovative projects and getting them accomplished in the long run. 700 km is a long road, it will not be completed overnight but it's a start.
People will not come to look at the coastal road, but the coastal road will bring more developments to those shorelines from Lagos to Calabar with more beach businesses, hotels, resorts, and the like. I travel around the world for such views, why can't we have such in Nigeria?

If truly you are from the SS then you need your brain rebooted. If Nigeria breaks then the SS tribes should form a union like the EU and call it SSU.

The SS elders were wise not to have joined bia-fraud during the biafran war as the SS in bai-fraud would have been worse.

I don't argue with idiots and you seem to be one. Where we call "South South" today was created 27 years after the civil war, so i don't understand where your own South South elders came from and made decisions during the civil war, idiot.

You are the idi0t. If they do get their bia-fraud you can relocate there.

Was there a South East or a country called Nigeria before the Europeans came and they latter created Nigeria in 1914. Even with the free information age today you have decided to remain an idiot.

Before Nigeria was created in 1914 there was already the Niger Delta which is now also called the South South.

You can wail and cry all you want, but judging from the number of people that liked my comment,we can all agree that the average South South person Would rather go with the Igbos than stick around with you and the corrupt bastards you call leaders in this useless country. You must be an Igbo claiming to be from the South South so you can relocate to bia-fraud and continue your cry there.

Some history lessons for you:
The South South or Niger Delta:

"before Ojuku declared the
republic of Biafra in may 1967
Isaac Adaka Boro an Ijaw man had declared the
Niger delta republic in february 1966.
Boro had formed the niger delta
volunteer force an armed militia with
members consisting mainly of his fellow
ethnic group declared the niger delta
republic on february 23 1966 and fought
nigeria's federal forces for 12 days but
they were eventually defeated and then
jailed by the Ironsi federal
military government [and Ojuku eastern governor] for treason"

But it was Gowon from Kanke Local Government Area in Plateau State that later set Boro free and Boro later became a major in the Nigeria army.
