Why Is Obi And Obedient Against Infrastructural Development? by Khyrvxjzy: 8:26am On May 02
obi is against coastal highway, an obedient supporter on nairaland named mrvitalis said 3rd mainland bridge have no economic benefits, that we should use ferry to carry 170000 vehicle that is using the road, and obedient movement is against dangote refinery.

All this bring me to the question "why is obi and obedient against infrastructural development?"

Atiku was the first to describe the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project as a highway of fraud.

Is he against infrastructural development or patriotically exposing Tinubu's penchant for shady and dubious deals?

😂 who told you Obidients are against the coastal highway? Shey Dem get brain wey Dem dey use think before ni?

They are only against it because their principal is against it. There's a reason they are called headless mob. Whatever Obi says is right is right and whatever he says is wrong is wrong. They don't have the capacity to think for themselves. Those guys are in a cult but they don't know. In fact, as we've seen many times, if any member of the cult has a different opinion from that of their collective hive, they attack the person collectively.

That said, there's a couple of reasons Obi is against the project.

1. To critisisize the FG/Tinubu. His problem is he doesn't know when to stop and is not sophisticated enough for Nigeria politics.

2. He is against infrastructure. He has said it explicitly that infrastructure cannot drive economic development. Now that the SS governors have commended the FG for the project, Obi has isolated himself in the South. I have never seen anyone self sabotage themselves like Obi does. The entire country now sees him for what he is: he's not someone what will drive infrastructural development if elected president.

3. Obi can't see beyond his nose. He simply lacks vision, because how do you explain not building a single school or block of classroom as a 8 year governor?! 8 f years! His work as Anambra governor is all you need to see he's not the kind of person that can envision a Lekki Trade Zone as far back as 2006, ensures his successors implement it, and 20 years later, have the world's largest refinery sitting on it. Nor is he the kind person that envisions a 3rd mainland bridge as far back as the 1970s, which is now the most important transport infrastructure 40 years later, in a city of more than 20 milion population.

4. He's too rigid/not flexible: The reason he thinks it must either we repair roads OR build coastal highway. The country can do both at the same time.

5. He's myopic: The reason he's very adamant we will abandon the project halfway or complete it after 30 years. Like I said, he has sabotaged himself and he doesn't seem to know it. Tinubu just need to complete like 60% of the highway before next election in 2027 and use it campaign again Obi and Atiku. Obi keeps paving the road of Asiwaju's second tenure without knowing it. Tinubu will complete this road by 2031 because it's a legacy project. And irony of it is that whatever Obi says he will construct during the campaign in 2027 will destroyed with propaganda by oppositions; they will simply tell electorate that he will abandon it or complete in 30 years.

6. Obi is a saboteur to the economic development of the South. When Buhari was building railroad from the North into Niger Republic (this was the peak of how far Buhari went to drive infrastructure development in the North during his tenure), people like Obi and his cultists critized him because they are fo-ols. Buhari used Nigeria's money to develop his region but now that's the turn of the southerners to return the favour and develop their region too with the national cake, Obi is using himself as a stumbling block. Walahai, his disgrace in 2027 will televised in the heavens. He must think everyone is as dull as him. If Jonathan had the courage and balls of Tinubu, the south would have accelerated further than this with regards infrastructure development. This is our turn, a second mistake must not be repeated. It's not a fallacy when we say the North are political savy than the South.

i don"t think Peter obi or Obedient are against infrastructural development rather what THEY (obi & children) don't want is BAT administration to succeed ...

Ahead of 2027, any goal BAT administration score is an away goal that count against Peter OBi cheesy

think about it, should tinubu succeed in 4yrs of what relevance will Peter Obi be

Let's take two scenario

We have two states A and B , but have 800 billion loan at a 2% interest rate that starts after 10 years

State A

State A uses the 800 billion to invest in infrastructure build roads, bridges, streets and all that after 10 years state A starts paying 16 billion interest yearly for the loans ... Is this bad? Is this worth it? Hold

State B

States B decided to not use the money to build any infrastructure, instead decided to partner with 3 banks

Identify indigenous business people from that state plus people who wants to invest in the state

Say in two categories

1) import substitute products, you show you can or you already produce a goods Nigerians import at a price "NOT MORE THAN THE LANDING COST " You can then access between 50 million to 3 billion loan at 5% interest rate with two years interest free, you pay back after 5 years

2) Export products you show you can produce or you produce a product you can export at a price not more than the average international price

You get same access to 50 million to 5 billion loan

Say after these programs

800 business take the loan with an average of 1 billion loan payments back in 5 years

Each of this business employ say 30 persons

That's 24,000 direct jobs... Say average salary of 150,000

That's 600 million in payee tax instantly monthly... About 7.2 billion yearly payee tax ooh

Profit tax from those business is waved for 10 years

Say after the 5 years you repeat the same thing again

Another 24,000 jobs.. That's 14.5 billion yearly revenue from payee tax

Let's say out of the 800 billion 50 businesses failed to pay.. You get your 750 billion
Plus your 2% interest for 3 years that's 6 years for the two batch that's 96 billion

So your total money would now be 846 billion

You can then pay back the loan on the 10th year interest free and you have 46 billion profit, plus 14.5 billion yearly revenue increase from payee
And u would have created 50 , 000 jobs

Now tell me which state would be better

State A or state B
