Furthermore, Umahi revealed that the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project will have its third segment beginning in Calabar, Cross River State. This part, stretching to Akwa Ibom State, is slated to start in July, pending design finalization and approvals from the BPE and FEC.

The Works Minister also outlined additional segments of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, noting that each would be constructed independently. These include one segment extending from Port Harcourt in Rivers State to Bayelsa State, and another starting in Delta State and heading towards Ondo State.

Very good that the southerners can now see that Obi is a saboteur to the economic development of the South. When Buhari was building railroad from the North into Niger Republic (this was how far and crazy Buhari went to drive infrastructure development in the North during his tenure), people like Obi and his bingo cult critized him because they are fo-ols. It simply means Obi won't protect the interest of the south if elected president. How did someone like Obi find himself at the forefront of the corridor of the center? How?! Buhari used Nigeria's money to develop his region but now that it's the turn of the southerners to return the favour and develop their region too with the national cake, Obi is using himself as a stumbling block. 😭 Buhari even went as far as exploring crude oil in the North, with billions of dollar. 😂 Wise man! Buhari the spender!!! 🙌 It's not a fallacy when we say the North are more political savy than the South.

Walahai, Obi's disgrace in 2027 will be televised in the heavens. He must think everyone is as dull as him. If Jonathan had the courage and balls of Tinubu, the south would have accelerated farther than this with regards infrastructure development. GEJ couldn't even wave the super national wand on his village. What a pity! With a single project (the biggest infrastructure project ever in Nigeria btw), Tinubu will open up Lagos to the entire SS states and open up the entire southern states to FDI and economic developments. What a masterpiece!

In place of that single Landmark beach, 100 more will rise.

There's nothing that can win the heart of the people like good performance, selflessness, integrity. The president has shown that since he assumed office.

Don't know why people are responding to the ranting of children of hate. I never seen any SS leader come out to condemn the project and ask FG to stop the project like the Agulu fraud has said.

Igbos are pretending to love south south but the coastal road has really exposed their deep-seated hatred for the region they covet so much specifically for their oil wealth and access to the sea that they hope to seize for themselves in their utopia Biafra.

Please nobody should criticize this project anymore. Tinubu's and Umahi's minds are made up. Everyone should keep an eye on the project.

Hopefully, they prove their critics wrong. This whole thing is now taking a tribal colouration and I find that very disturbing.

Only a dumb foooooool will criticize a major project like this.

I hope and pray that road is constructed and completed so that it becomes easy for me to drive all the way from Lagos

Tinubu is playing a long range game with short sighted South South politicians. The coastal road will take 8 years to complete.

Why not start the road construction from Calabar to Lagos? Remember the design has not been approved by BPE and FEC according to the minister. Don't believe the story it's starting soon. How come the Lagos section design was approved and funds voted and released for it?

That way all the business affected in Lagos now can operate and pay taxes for more years before eventually demolition if need be.

Since the road will presumably be half way in the next fours years, South South will be coerced to vote APC or lose out if Tonubu doesn't win.

What if Tinubu loses the next election?

What if Tinubu wins and turn his attention in another big project that benefits his region leaving the South South hanging?

South South should have insisted the road start from Calabar, that way Tinubu will ensure it gets to his region when completed.

Even though PDP allocated money for the project (1st during OBJ era), then GEJ reallocated again. Only God know much PDP embezzled on that project. Anyway, Umahi is already working to complete it.
