The Roads in some parts of this Country are in their worst state today. Some of these Roads are eyes sore. Government needs to wake up to its responsibilities.

Let us go back to the old days of toll gate, if that will save our roads to last well.

How many are dragging governors for anything? Everything is FG!
Most sane people do. And FG should stop shielding govs. They should be the ones setting up eering govs for masses lashing.
Also, see the renumeration of FG appointees, does it make sense?
The country presently deserves to be cutting budgets but instead got inflated ones. Those appointees like minister of state are needless. Also, what's rheceaening of the president?
Reducing it and tagging all govs, reps and senators as those that failed to do so ll give any president public sympathy. The structure is of everyone is a thief, those caught are the criminal. So let all that comes to justice come with equity or how Una dey do that proverb.

All these over the LAGOS-CALABAR coastal road? Now I think hate is second nature to some people. Anyway, the road must continue.

Akin to a daft and selfish father with hungry kids at home who lack school fees to return to school. Then one day Dad comes home with a new set of threads and a silly look on his face! And when he's asked by his long-suffering wifey to explain himself, he says he has to look good to project the family in a 'positive light' to the neighbours! You couldn't make it up! sad

PS- For those who don't get the analogy, i'm alluding to the stupidity of going on a flight of fancy....ie, building a multi-billion dollar coastal road when decrepit and dangerously failed roads exist all over the country!
You don’t explain such. Those that will not understand will still not get it.
Let them extend the coastal highway by another 700km

Don't you know that the Nigeria versus Biafra war has been pursued in the Economic front by people from some sections of Nigeria; and that Umahi as Works Minister is a ruse like putting Igbos as Information or Foreign Affairs Minister of Nigeria in the bid to project the eastern region of Nigeria as belonging to Nigeria? The buck stops on the President's table.

Some are saying the government shouldn't have started the Calabar road project because there are many other roads to fix!

You'll always fix road every year! And the SEs among those singing the above song didn't say the same thing when Buhari was building the second 9ja bridge!

Buhari we don't need second 9ja bridge!
Go and fix our roads!

What is this?

Can they forget about bthis coastal highway nonsense and use the money to give us regular electricity?.

CONSTANT POWER IS WHAT THE COUNTRY NEEDS NOW. No need to waste money on a coastal road to be used only by rural farmers to carry cassava on a bicycle.

That coastal road should NEVER be a priority.

Virtually all the federal roads need facelift. I have said this few days ago. I was in Uni when Lokoja to Abuja was awarded during OBJ's regime, till date, the road is still dead trap. Abuja to Zaria still very much terrible. Ore-Benin is still an eye sore with attendant kidnapping and robbery. Ogbomosho to Oyo to Ibadan still terrible. The road claimed almost all the occupants of a bus few days ago. The new one Fashola was building had not been completed till date with Sukun money borrowed. We are still paying for that till date. What of jebba to Minna so terrible. Saki to Chikada, east west road and many federal roads that urgent attention but nothing is done till this evening but some people said the Lagos - Calabar coastal highway is the boom. A project that they may not complete in the next 15 years.
The question is, how many lives would have been lost before the coastal highway is completed?
This country we don't prioritize businesses. We just blindly give support to anything so far the person there is our tribe or party man or brother. Still have long way to go.

Honestly, as people, we haven't tried o. The best solution would be to privatise the construction of these roads and toll them.

Our elites are too unintelligent and cruel!

when buharia extended a rail line to Niger republic,I hope you were not sleeping and this coastal road was passing through your own domain, all this Lamentations wouldn't have been heard.but the hard fact is, when the road is completed don't use it, but for me and other patriotic nigerians,(on coastal highway we believe)

The project is a goal.

Timing is the issue. The economy is messed up right now and that project can't kickstart the economy in any ways at the moment. We are in a deep mess but Tinubu is clueless. It's not enough being Jagaban. He's even too old for the enormous amount of work to put in.

This excuse can be made for any position or office an Igbo man or woman holds in Nigeria, including presidency. It is the heads i win, tails you lose, (coin-toss) dilemma.

The irony is that most of you supporters of Coastal road fail to understand that you and your family could be victims of those bad roads the FG refused to address.
We would all say God forbid, but God cannot do for us what we can do for ourselves.

Keep supporting Evill, I would be happy if the evil you support catchup with you.

Clown.

It's obvious you do not know that there are federal and state roads.

And this one falls under Federal road.

You trying to shift blame from your failed Messiah.

If you know the number of times that particular road has been awarded as well as the humongous amounts of money that have been siphoned through that avenue, your blood will boil with righteous indignation.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the black race.
Nothing is fundamentally wrong... it's just a pattern.
Howbeit I saw your email request can you kindly fill me in on what you intend or how we can be of help to each other.
