Major Stakeholders in Awka South Local Government Area, on May 1, 2024 visited the Solution Fun City, the new Secretariat and Governors Lodge in the state to assess the progress of ongoing projects.

The Solution Fun City which housed country club, family fun building, board games, cinema, event square, water Park , amusement park, among others, would give direct employment to 5000 youths and over 10000 indirect jobs to the residents of Awka metropolis when completed. It will also generate revenue for the state and log in Anambra to the global one stop shop amusement community

Speaking with newsmen at the site in Awka, an elder statesman and Awka indigene, Senator Ben Ndi Obi said he was amazed with the level of projects embarked by Governor Soludo to give Anambra a befitting State Capital inline with his promise of making Awka the Dubai of Africa.

According to him, "The governor is turning the state around with infrastructural developments and the impact of his governance is felt by the masses", he said.

Sen. Obi who nicknamed Governor Soludo "infrastructural master" praised him for doing more with less as his efforts would be appreciated in giving him maximum support for second tenure.

Sen Obi who recounts his ordeal with past Governors on his position in giving Anambra a befitting State Capital, maintained that at the end of Soludo's four years in office, the capital city will be the best built city in the eastern state.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Pauly Onyeka who appreciated Awka stakeholders for their time spent in inspect the ongoing project, assured of the speedy completion of the project.

Speaking on the construction of the new government house, Hon. Onyeka said the building was one of the essential projects that the Governor was putting up for Ndi Anambra,noted that people have never had it this good before.

The commissioner who disclosed that disclosed that over 32 years of creation of the state, none of the Governors could complete the project describes Governor Soludo as a jinx breaker.

He further noted that over 3,000 economic tress will be planted to support the green revolution of the state. He praised the governor for his efforts in bringing the project to effectual completion while working simultaneously in other places.

The Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) Mr. Ossy Onuko who was elated with what the governor was doing in the state said the visit to the project sites was necessary for the people to see what the governor was doing. He however assured the governor of continued support and prayers.

The reporter learnt that the Solution Fun City which was flagged off in October 2023 and was handled by GSS construction company , ZCC construction company among others is expected to be completed within 8 months.

Dignitaries present during the tour were the Managing Director of ASWAMA, Mr.Mike Ozemena; His Royal Majesty Igwe of Ogbunka, Director of Emeka Anyaoku Institute of International Studies and Diplomacy Nnamdi Azikiwe University Prof A. U Noyelu, Past Transition Committee Chairman Awka South LGA Mr. Leo Nwuba among others.
