The Management of Brightstar Specialist Hospital, Owerri, Imo State has commenced 1 Month free medical service to residents of the state. .

The Founder of the hospital Nneka Green said that the outreach was organised to provide comprehensive health care services to people of the state.

While beckoning on resident's of the state to take advantage of the free medical services, Nneka Green noted that during the outreach that will be , free eye screening, free dental screening, free consultation and 50percent discount on surgery.

While expressing her firm believe that the program will yield thee desired outcome of improving care among the aged and proper medical diagnosis for all, the Medical Practitioner stated that Brightstar care holds the mantra that a happier life is a longer life.

“We noticed that most of them are living below the poverty level, so even though we run a facility, we try as much as possible to provide medical services to them. So that those that cannot access the hospital, can benefit from the free outreach.

“All this is to detect their health problems early and to give the community a healthier position of living so that they are not caught up with emergency situations.

she added that the free medical outreach would be continuous, as the hospital intends to make it a time to time exercise.

A beneficiary of the program, Mrs Nkechi Maduka, who was pregnant said, “I really appreciate the hospital for the free medical outreach We have never enjoyed such services in this community before and bringing this to us has really reduced the burden of going outside the community to get medical services.”

Another beneficiary, Mr John Ibeh, also appreciated the hospital for their kind gesture. He said, “It is a privileged to have this hospital bring this free medical outreach to our community. It has really helped by reducing the economic hardship on us, I pray that God will bless them.”

so far since. it's establishement Brightstar Specialist Hospital has treated over 5000 imo resident's through its outreach program.

The hospital which has an old people's home prides itself as one of the best hospitals in the state with state of the art facilities to meet Media emergency and health needs of people of the state
