In recent days, a flurry of misinformation has flooded various media platforms, particularly from Western outlets like CNN, BBC, and US Today, alleging that the UN has slashed the reported number of casualties in Gaza. These claims have been amplified on social media platforms such as Nairaland, with user Holiness2100 adding a dash of inflammatory rhetoric to the mix.

However, a closer examination of the facts reveals a different story. The United Nations has not reduced the casualty figures as purported by these sources. In fact, the UN stands by its initial reports on the tragic loss of life in Gaza.

It's crucial to rely on credible sources for accurate information, especially in times of crisis. Rather than spreading sensationalized narratives, let's turn to verified sources such as the UN for an authentic understanding of the situation.

In times of conflict, misinformation can exacerbate tensions and hinder efforts towards peace and resolution. Let's prioritize truth and responsible reporting to foster a more informed and empathetic global discourse.

Please send more time on the many genocides happening around you. If African would stop going 10,000 miles to look for genocide but would look within maybe only then do we have a chance to grow and improve.
